I am SO excited. I am going to go look at this horse Sunday if all goes as planned. He's a 14.0-14.1hh blue roan POA that is trained on barrels/poles, trail rides great, jumps, team penns.. GREAT price, too. He sounds absolutely perfect for me in every aspect and his pretty color is a bonus.
Not to mention he is related to Prodigy! A Bright Tribune is a grandfather to both of them. Mighty Bright is this guy's great grandfather, and Prodigy's great great grandfather. How cool is that?

I thought you wanted something taller?

Nope, I've been looking for something 14hh+. I wont take anything smaller than 14hh though. I *just* fit on April who is 14hh without feeling ridiculous.
They're asking 1,000 for him. They paid more for him but are desperately trying to downsize for winter which is why he and a few other of their horses are for sale.

Well, I'm a sucker for spots as well. I think he's adorable. If 14hh isn't too small for you, then I would definitely go and look. He looks like a pretty mover from that picture too.

O I really hope things go well he sounds PERFECT. And he is trained in barrels...just don't fall in love with his color before you even ride him (I know I would have a hard time not doing that). And wow Prodigy and my aunt's filly I am training are related too, thats cool. Well best of luck on Saturday I am keeping my fingers crossed...and come back with pictures!!!
O and I LOVE short horses and for barrel racing IMO you really have better luck with them. He structural looks a lot like Trouble...she has really long legs and doesn't look 14.3.

Awesome, he's cute.
Somehow he doesn't look 14h.'s to me... idk maybe the pic is just creepy lol.
I saved some links for you, too! I'll PM ya with them :D
Do his feet look wierd to anyone else...?

He is a gorgeous horse but try not to buy or judge on looks. Hope he works out for you....

Not judging on looks, promise. If he is everything this lady says he is he sounds perfect for what I'm looking for.. his looks are just a bonus. :) He was a 4-h horse and is patterened on both barrels and poles, and supposedly he's also an excellent trail horse. I will have no problem turning away if there is something about him I don't like.(Already turned down 2 pretty horses and a lovely buckskin mare that was being offered to me-- bad confo.) We'll see how it goes. If he doesnt work out I have a couple more horses I'm interested in looking at.
And he shouldn't be too small for me. I've looked all over for a picture of me on April(Sticked at 14.0hh) but I cropped my upper half out of all of them. You can see how big I look on her.. kind of.

(ignore my terrible hands & heels.. Was meant to focus on the horse.)

Does he look smaller to you? And thanks, the more the better. :D
What're you seeing with his hooves? Just curious. :)

Do his feet look wierd to anyone else...?
I actually noticed that, too. I just thought his hooves looked weird (not his confo/pasterns or anything) - maybe they were/are due for a trim or something? That's all I saw when I took a second look. xD

Yeah, he's gonna need some special attention, but they don't look "terrible." If they're "downsizing" usually the first thing that happens is people stretch shoeings out a week or two, and they can get that way quick.
If his feet are still nice and wide in the heels (which they look to be from what I can tell) he should turn around pretty quick with a decent trim in NB / Center Fit shoes or with the shoes set back. I would have him vetted and get x-rays for navicular, especially with the condition of his feet and if he was used as a 4-h playday horse. (absolutely no questions asked if he's over 7-8 y/o)
Other than that, good luck with him.

Good luck with him....I am not a big fan of spots but I like him. I hope his feet are just the result of a poor trim or overdue for a trim. He sounds like a nice fella.

I agree with Walkin, his feet just look like the result of a late trimming. Can be fixed. How old is he FSA? Seems like he's what you were looking for. Sorry I couldn't find you anything. He is def pretty though.

He's 6 1/2. I will make it a point to really look at those hooves when I go see him.. hopefully it's nothing serious. I just hope he's really everything they say he is. If not then there is a bay gelding and black/white paint mare I would like to check out that sound decent and if those don't work out there's others. Thanks everyone.. I'll try to get a lot of pictures. :)

Well, someone from the HGS forum had him for a 1 month trial.. She took him back because he had bad ground manners I think.. Waiting for her to reply back so I can know more. I just wrote his previous previous owner back and so far what she has said is good but I'm asking more questions..
Yeah, his coloring is gorrgeouss. I just hope he's what I want.. ;P

OKAY.. Nevermind, to my disappointment I'm not going to go check this guy out. I can't seem to get ahold of the seller for more than a couple mails at a time(wont give me her phone number) and when I do I don't get straight answers.. So unless she is going to start giving me answers I'm going to go check out another horse tomorrow(if she's available then)(Vick will like her.)

I like the paint but then I'm a sucker for Black & White.
I don't think you look big on April at all but then to me April is perfect in every way. I'm 5' tall and am riding a 13.2 and a 13.3. Every time I look at her picture it makes me want her more. I hate money being a factor in everything! I do hope her new home will be wonderful for her and they will love her.
Good luck, hope the B&W works for you!

All that white makes me scream. But maybe that's because I don't have a stall to keep a horse in (most horses 'round here live in pipe corrals) and that's free access to mud and dirt right there. Yay!
And I second oursarge. You look great on April. Fit her super because she's got that broad little belly and everything that takes up your leg very well. Look at me, I'm 5'6" and Mitch is all of an inch taller, and my leg can't even go past his elbow because he's so wide. And I even ride with long stirrups.
But anyway, good luck on the new horse, whoever he or she is.

Ah too bad about the POA, I liked him from what he was suppose to be. Kinda fishy she only wanted 1k for him I know a lot of horse buyers who will just buy a horse for his color. I really like the built of the paint good luck with her!
