**disclaimer for those who dont know me**
I have extensive experience training and working with studs.
I have been offered a very nice, conformationally correct, PROVEN color producing, double registered AQHA/APHA dun paint stallion. The family are just very hard up right now and don't want to breed anymore.
I am in no hurry to breed him, but the property we are 99% sure we are getting (crosses fingers for Saturdays approval stuff we're doing) is totally set up for him. All I need is to run the hot wire. But the whole property is horse wire with top boards and he would have his own personal 1/4 acre with stall etc within eye shot of the house. He would also be the only horse I am keeping on my property other than a gelding, which he is apparently used to having around gelds as companions.
He is well mannered and green broke. They say he rides nicely, has some reining training and does have his "moments" but I expect this from a 4 year old. Especially a stud. He can't be worse than Tallies tantrums lol.
Anyway, I am really excited. I am looking for something younger and fairly untouched that could even be a future investment. If his disposition is as good as they say, I'll keep him a stud off duty and riding/showing only for a few years and watch the market. Then consider breeding him. I just don't think right now is a good time to add another horse to the world. I can always geld him if need be.
He does drop some NICE babies. Who's even temperments match his.
I will be getting pictures of my ride/inspection over the weekend and will be posting :cowboy::rolleyes:
