They're calling for it here too, up to a foot. So far we've had nothing. Schools are closed though which is good, I have my man home and he can help with some Christmas stuff.

They're calling for more stuff on Sunday and long term for Christmas Eve & Day. I hope we don't get that, we have to travel.

I love snow but we keep getting ice with the snow. That's miserable. Stay warm and dry!

well....we've got a TON of snow right now, lol. s'possed to get a good foot or so. :) all the schools are closed & my parents didn't have to go to work. ;) the roads are horrible....most of the ramps are plowed shut.
it will be *oh so fun* to shovel later! LOL>:rolleyes:

I have yet to catch a forecast.. but i'm not too far from Renee.

I used to love the snow days too FSA... then I graduated and we don't get snow days anymore. Even though I'm home all day, bad weather means I'm STUCK at home and the kids are stuck inside and it's not too good for anyone!

Last update I got for my area, we're looking at at least six inches plus for tomorrow, then the bottom's going to fall out of the temps again, with wind chills around thirty below for Sunday- sheesh!

I'm not real happy about this one. It sounds like it could cancel my weekend plans (which were rescheduled from last weekends storm!) And my farrier's supposed to be coming Monday. I hope everythings plowed by then.

Wow no kidding. Seriously I would love to go further into Canada. I've been to ummm Ontario I believe or maybe Quebec. Either way it was beautiful & amazing land. Like I said it was not to far from the boarder. WE went fishing up there.

About 5" in 3-1/2 hours here so far and they are saying before it's over it will be 12" and then the second storm on Sunday another 5-6" :eek:

I'm getting totally sick of winter already! A few more snows like this, and there won't be any room at the end of the driveway for the snow- I won't be able to get out, and might be stranded here the rest of the winter!

We got a foot today and it's still snowing like crazy. My walker, who came from Shelbyville, Tenn, acts like he's never seen snow. I just got him in April so I haven't had him in winter yet. I'm wondering, but I'm sure Tennessee gets snow???

It's been an unusually cold December here (temps below normal), and more snow storms than usual.

Usually we are only 5-10 degrees warmer than where my mom is in MI - but she sent pictures of being buried in snow today and I returned photos of mud. LOL. We had a record high of 67 degrees today. No texas 80, but it was still nice - once the rain stopped and the sun came out.

I am not far from Buckpaco. We got our first big snow.12" for sure.. stopped snowing around 6:00. looks like a white Christmas for us this year.. Now the fun part,, shoveling. And yes, another storm comming on Sunday:cry:

Well, I see they upgraded the winter storm watch to a warning now, snow and wind today and tonight!
Looks like I will just stay put today, but that's OK, I have a good book and I'll just hunker down and do some reading. I wanted to get out to the barn today, but it can wait till another day. Looks like you are in the warning too Jessica, batten down the hatches! There are blizzard warnings for parts of MN.

I am glad that I do not live up north like some of you. Here in SW MO, we get some snow, but usually not nearly as much you northerners. I really wouldn't mind it, if I didn't have to drive 32 miles one way to work. If I could just stay home and watch it out my window, I would probably like it as much as it sounds like some of you do. I hope everyone who is getting the big snows stays warm and safe.

They lengthened the storm waring here until tomorrow night- the winds are starting to pick up already, and we've been getting snow already.

We got a fair amount of snow today. Shoveled off the ice rink twice and went sledding late this afternoon. We have a great hill that we sled on right onto the snow covered ice. Got a little cold though!
