It took a huge coward to do that!
Hope they track him down!

It's times like this that really test your love for mankind. Some people should be taken to the vet an put down like a rabid animal. If that ever happened to one of mine, God help them if I find them before the sheriff does.

OMG. Again, you just have to wonder about mankind. My heart hurts for the owners.

Man, that down right sucks.
Not just one, but two horses AND a dog.
That person or people were out to kill.

A person like that is definitely not right in the head.
What really tees me off, though, is the fact that law enforcement probably won't take this as seriously as they would if a human had been shot.
The chances of the creep getting away with this are pretty high. If he is caught, most likely, he won't get anything more than a fine and a slap on the wrist. That's pretty muuch the way it is here, anyway.

Yep, heard about it very sad, I hope they find out who did it. There has also been over 200 cattle stolen here. Makes ya wonder about people and society.

Oh this is just awful! Who would do such a thing? This person is obviously a hunter due to the location of the shots, but how could you shoot someone pets? I hope they catch whoever did this!

This is the reason my horses are only in the front pasture during the day while I'm at home. That means week ends. People are always slowing down to look at them and that makes me feel good (they are beauties :)), but you never know about people and it would break my heart for something like this to happen. Not to mention the time in jail for killing the offender.

Man, that's just awful! That's just a couple of hours south of me and I just can't imagine the mindset of somebody who would DO something like that to someone else's pet. It would be bad enough if it was a cow, or some other type of farm animal that you don't really have an emotional attachment to, but to do it to a companion animal just shows a TOTAL disregard for anyone else's feelings. People like that are scary. They're capable of ANYTHING.
Those people are more than creepy. We so often hear abt serial killers and such, that they are abusive to animals. And the sad thing is, as Gypsy said, they will probably get away with it.

Same thing. If someone did that to my pets I'd hunt them down. They'll never get the punishment they deserve anyway. They should be shot like the vermin they are. :whack:

I'm not even gonna read the article because that stuff will actually make me cry right here at work, can't be having that. I get the gist of it though and not only should the perpetrator be shot, but I can think of other things...prying fingernails off one by one, cutting limbs off....ok I'll stop.

That's awful, some people are so twisted that it makes me sick. I agree with mandzanita's suggestions of what to do with the jerk...

That is so sick. I'd like to shoot that guy in the head and see how he likes it. Actually I'd like to shoot him in MANY places and make him suffer first, THEN shoot him in the head.
My psycho neighbor shot and killed my favorite chicken, Lloyd a couple years ago. She wasn't just a chicken, she was THE best chicken of all time. She was my friend. Like my dog. She came to greet me everyday when I got off the school bus and came in the house and was just a downright awesome gal. She even liked to go for rides in the car. The jerk who did it was bragging to his friends at work about how he killed his neighbor's chicken and ate it for dinner. One of his "friends" he was working with was my mom's friend who called us right away. I reported the guy but they didn't have enough evidence to do anything about it except go to his house and lecture him and of course he denied it. I wish the justice system would take crimes against animals as serious as crimes against humans. It's truly sad how the world treats animals.
