Well, I don't know who is more tired Dallas or I, but it was a great day and both Dallas and I learned alot.

We went to the obsticles session and it was quite interesting. There were 7 or 8 other people there, but Dallas was the center of attention, because of his little attitude. He was full of it when we first got there. Finally he settled down, then we all went into the arena to get some instructions. There was a HUGE green ball in the arena where we were standing and I was thinking "great....the wind is going to blow this ball and Dallas is going to explode"....instead, Dallas decides to see what it is and starts pushing it around.... I'm thinking, now he is going to scare another horse, by playing with this ball. Everything was fine, till we started heading out of the arena, then the true Dallas showed up. He started pulling back, rearing up and just being an idot.....Finally the trainer said to turn him loose in the arena...so that is how we started the day.....

Dallas waiting to see whats going on.

We had a really good day. Didn't get a chance to get in the saddle, but Dallas did a LOT of thinking today! Next time is saddle work!! I am so proud of him!!:cowboy:

Thanks Whitedress...it was a LONG day, but Dallas came a long way! He is a gelding that thinks he's a stallion plus he is in his adolesent stages right now! I was very proud of him. He was the center of attention today!

Thanks Vicky...you would be so proud of him! Thankfully he trusts me....or this would have been a disaster.

I'd love to do one of those tire step up things and the curtain thing with Niko.
Looks like he was a pretty good boy, I bet you are proud

Looks like it was a fun day. We have an obstacle course like that at work. I'd like to try it some day.

Great Job CountryGirl and Dallas!
I understand when you mention about your horse thinking he's a stallion when he is a gelding, my boy is the say way. (he's 6)

There are some really good ideas there with those pictures.

You have quite the handsome 'fella on your hands, geeesss, he's hot! Loved the pics and captions :) All-in-all he sounds like he did great, I think this idea of school (and the group classes are great!) is great for him. It's about time he growed up some, the little sass :) Are you going to these classes regularly? Looks like so much fun :) How old is he again?

Thanks..I think he's purdy too. No....we don't go on a regular basis. We got invited to this, so this was Dallas's and my first time. I didn't know what to expect ot how he would act, but over all he did pretty good. He was really thinking today!

Yep....he can be a naughty boy! :nono: Tries to get pushy and walk over me. I have worked with him a LOT at our place, but this was a good experience for him being away from home and with different horses. I always get a bit nervous when I take him AWAY from home.....guess that is old age setting in....LOL :p I thought this would be a good experience for both of us. I am pretty open minded to alot of things as long as it doesn't hurt me or my horse.

Dallas is either 4 going on 5 or 5 going on 6....I STILL have NOT gotten his papers and it's been a battle trying to get them. I did like the obsticles there. It was fun. I wanted to RIDE him over some, but we never got that far. Maybe next time...

I think you underestimate yourself. Your a tough cookie. I absolutley love taking City to new places, cause then we get to think about ME instead of every other thing around him. I love that part. I do let him be interested, to a point. Im sure you can handle his quirks.
Cant wait to see more pics of you there again. Looks like loads of fun.
