Winter thunder storms

Im heading up the street. People have a burm home there. I usually go next door, but the lady broke her pelvis, poor woman, so Im not gonna bug them with me needing to be around people for comfort during these things.
The system that is coming our way has been black and pink, not pretty colors, it may change for the better, red and less, and lets just hope that EVERYONE in the path of these storms are safe.
On the good side, people were riding yesterday, as it was t-shirt weather, and today would be good too, if not for the Tornado watch were under.
Its not suppose to be this warm in the winter darn it.
Bob is going to Springfield underground to load his trailer, so Im happy for that.

Yikes... it's quite a line of storms. I've been watching it on the news. Weird weather for December!

It is weird! I'm watching it too. I am fascinated by tornadoes...always have been!

Im home, were still under a tornado watch until noon. The colors sure got pretty, they are yellow/orange now. I like yellow. I watched a couple clouds that could of turned, but didnt. It is raining, not heavy, just continual.
Been a weird winter everywhere.

It's even in the 40's up here in Wisconsin....it's crazy! But across the border about 85 miles west of me in MN it is now in the 20's, a front is moving thru. We have drizzle and fog here, but southern WI has a flash flood watch. I saw that line of t-storms down near you Vick, stay safe down there, it really looks nasty.

LOL It is now pouring rain, with some flooding. They changed the tornado watch to 7PM. Hoping more that this band of color/storms pass really. Not to worried about the tornadoes after that. Temp is falling, so we should be good.
I asked my neighbor, why do we live here??? Then I turned around and said, cause someone has to hu? LOL

Some areas last night around 11 had flash flood warnings. The weather is aweful up here. It took us an hour and a half to get home from GB last night instead of only an hour. It was almost glare ice.

This is so weird, we went from 0 degrees with a windchill below zero last week and now were at 60 degrees here today while oregon is buried in snow.

The worst part of the storm, the first part, is quick. The rest, so far here, has been wet and sometimes a bit noisy.

This is so weird, we went from 0 degrees with a windchill below zero last week and now were at 60 degrees here today while oregon is buried in snow.
Yup, weird hu? We saw the 70s I think. I know it was either that or the high 60s, but someone said we were in the 70s. We in the right state????

Ok we have 2 tornadoes on the ground. One in the souther part of the county and one on the north eastern part. It is quite scary. Stay safe. Vivky is this the same syystem that was hitting u earlier probaly?

yes Prissy it was, and still is. You are just getting the worst of it. Hope it passes soon. Im waiting for this rumbling to stop, never sure if its rolling thunder or a tornado on the ground. One sounded like a touch down in my neighbors pasture, but by the time I jumped up to look, it was gone. The dogs even looked concerned, but it was just probably thunder. I like the lighting that just yells quick. The rolling thunder ya just never are sure what your listening for.

It sure is horrible looking on the radar, it is a long huge line of bad t-storms. Hope everyone stays safe.
I know what you mean about that rumbling, last spring we had a severe storm go thru, I was never so scared....and we all heard that rumbling noise, but it wasn't thunder.....I wish I had a basement here..... I am not looking forward to the spring storms.

I see we now have a winter weather advisory out for my area.....again.

Remali, you guys have ice now? ALL of our snow melted last night and tonight you can see the grass on the lawn. The pastures are all grass and just a layer of ice in the wetter parts. We are moving the hay feeder around today so the horses don't have to go in the icy pasture at all until it all gets taken care of. yuck.

It melted so much yesterday and then we had that drizzle all day and last nite.....and now the temps have dropped so much it has all frozen into ice, my driveway is a slab of ice.....
Still have about a half a foot of snow out there yet too....:(
