The farm just sold :(

Well I'm now offically looking for a new place to board as the farm has sold :( I know it's the best for the owners but still sad. I know we will keep in touch but I realized today that I'm so going to miss the two barn kitty's Ben and Jerry.
Tomorow I'll be calling the trainer I've been working with and see if he has a stall - I sure don't mind going to a barn with an indoor for the next few months :) Its been so nice to not have to worry about her as the barn owner takes such good care of her just like one of her own.

Hope U find something soon. I have a friend with a place on the Upton/grafton line... It has an indoor and outdoor arena and backs onto the park,so access to tons of trails!! Let me see if I can find the web page... I used to take lessons from Melody...way way way back...when I was young

Well I'm glad it worked out for the barn owners if they were needing to sell. Hopefully you find a good place to board. And the whole indoor arena thing? I would LOVE an indoor arena right now. :)

Thanks offgridgirl - I'm pretty sure they are out of my price range ;) most of the larger barns in the area that have indoors are $650 and UP and that's just to high for me to go. There are 2 small barns pretty close to where I am now that are closing in price range to where I need to be - they have tiny indoors but I look at it as that's better than nothing :) so we will see.

Your so right, I'm actually looking at Brookside since they now offering a "dry board" option where they do the work but I provide all feed and bedding I can keep my cost down some that way and still have an indoor and fantasic trails.

The biggest trade off is turn out she's on basicly 24/7 and there just isn't anyone around that can offer that :( The hunt goes on

Yeah stopping at a few farms is on my list for this week since I'd like to move her on Feb 1 - I think where I'm at is just going to get crazy as they try to pack the house and all that one less horse on the farm will help. I'm also helping with the "old man" on the property since his time is coming :( he almost didn't make it thru last winter so we are going to help him on to green pastures shortly, poor boy isn't happy anymore and is letting everyone know. There is a lot happening all at the same time OY
