Well when I was 13 and showing horses went on the back burner because of financial and family problems...I found a new way to show horses.
Yup....model horses.:p And even in this time of my life when I am almost 17 years old I still show Breyer and Peter Stone models. I show them in live halter shows where the model are judged similar to real horse halter shows. Of course there are no patterns, but the horses are judged on confirmation...as well as how well it represents the breed...and in model horses its collectability. I found it an interesting way to learn more about horses and meet other people who share the interest. I have also earned quite a few ribbons.
I plan on entering another show this January. I have recieved some new models from friends and family but I am stubbed on what breed to show them under. There really isn't any restriction...I have a Salerno (rare European warmblood) and as long as I have a little information next to my model at the judging table he does just fine.
So I was wondering what breeds you think these horses resemble the best?
I showed him as an Appaloosa in the last show and he didn't place. Does anyone else have any other ideas...the mold doesn't really have the typical Appaloosa look

I was thinking Morgan?! I don't really know...

I was thinking Trakner on this one...I read that all colors were acceptable but I am not 100% sure that is correct.

This one no clue. Too small for a typical Throughbred...too refined for the halter Quarter Horse...
