So I just get a new horse right?
So I saddle her up for our first ride with my regular little saddle.
Lets just say it didnt end well.
My saddle was fit to a narrow morgan. Not an icredibly stocky QHit didnt fit at all.
I talked to the person that rode her before me and they said she has been riding her in a saddle with full QH bars and a flex tree. Nothing else quite fits her.

So now Im searching for a saddle in the $700 +under price range preferably darker. 15 1/2 seat. Doesnt have to be a show saddle but good quality leather thats in a good enough condition to show in.

Does anyone know of any good brands? good websites? happen to have a saddle that fits this description?

thank you.

You might consider a Royal King RB Flex Tree saddle, also known as an Auto Adjust. The bars are connected to the gullet and cantle with hinges, so it'll adjust to horses as narrow as a saw horse or as wide as a tabletop. Here's a link to one currently listed on ebay...

It's a little above your price range, but the sale DOES say "or best offer", so there's that. I bought a used one a couple of years ago off of ebay for about $500 and really liked it, but I have fairly short legs (27" inseam) and the fenders were just too long for me and couldn't be taken up any shorter, so I sold it to a longer-legged friend and she really loves it. The only other drawback is that they're kinda heavy

I'll look around on eBay for you. I am pretty sure you'll be able to find something that meets your requirements and is in your budget. :)

I'm partial to Circle Y saddles, they fit so well and are made good, and the leather can't be beat on 'em. Quite often you can find a used Circle Y in that price range. Try tack.com too maybe.

I had one of those Royal King RB Flex Tree saddles, and I didn't like it at all. I used it twice and sold it. I guess I was spoiled by my Circle Y saddles. Those things are so comfy! I do have an older Circle Y that I don't use anymore because it's too wide for my horses, but it doesn't have a flex tree.

I too don't like the flex trees. I got a double J show saddle for 660 at a pawn shop and it was way nice and extremely comfortable but then it got stolen.....my FIL gave me his old saddle it's a longhorn not my favorite but it is a nice saddle and just the other day my hubby bought me a cowboy tuff saddle, they are made not far from me and I know the guy that makes them and he is a wonderful saddle maker for 300! You can find some really nice saddles for cheap if you just keep your eye out.

the brands I recommend
Billy cook
Circle Y
Crates
Courtz
double J
Hereford

there are some more I just can't remember right off the top of my head

Try Ebay, they have some pretty decent saddles on there. You could also look on horse classified sites, as a lot of them have tack for sale add aswell.

I have a Simco for the past 28 years. Still looks great. Lucky for me it fit all my boys and it is comfy. Fits like an old pair of slippers..My hubby has one too. His is not as old as mine... We both got them used at a tack shop..If there are any tack shops around where you live maybe you can check there. Then at least you can try it out. Sit on them before you take it home and try it out on your horse. My hubby sat on about 10 different saddles at 3 shops before he found one he liked..

Alright thanks everyone.
Theres a little used western shop by my new barn I called and they said they had a used circle y with full QH bars. Its $690 is that a good price for a circle y ?

Yes, I would think that's a good price for a used circle Y. I LOVED my circle Y saddle. It's definately worth going to look at imo.

Make sure it fits, or that you can return it if it dosnt.
Good luck.
