:) I'd like to introduce you to Gaston. He is an amazing dressage horse who I've been riding. Very strong and very big. He's teaching me a lot and I really enjoy him. (Keep in mind I'm 6'2 to gauge his size)

first pic is before our ride , second is getting ready and third is just relaxing at the end. :)

Funny thing is I actually have never done dressage and don't have any plans any time soon! He is like the "untouchable horse" at our barn and my trainer lets me ride him as a treat!

I'm not positive on his height. He is either 18.2 or 19hh

Wow that's one big horse!!! I'd ask if he was a draft or warmblood but by looking at the pics he's built like a TB! Is he? That's so awesome that your trainer is letting you ride him, you must impress her :) Does he have a pointy hock or is it just me?

He's a big boy, but I don't think he is 18.2+ ..if you are 6'2, his withers would have to be level with the top of your head to be 18.2hh. He's probably closer to the 17.2hh range.

He's a handsome boy!!! Looks a lot like what I imagine Mack to have looked like when he was young!

mandzanita - I'm 98% sure hes TB and his hock does look VERY pointy! Unfortunately he has an injury on that leg so maybe thats whats going on there? If you see the wrap is a little bit bigger there.


for everyone who said he's handsome - thanks so much! :) and thanks for checking him out! I hope I'll have more pics of him soon and often.

KCandAlegro'smom-I've never measured him personally but thats what they tell me. I might be taller than 6'2 but I don't really want to admit it. :( lol :p Here is a pic of my trainer who is prob about 5'5 standing with him too.
