Even when it's planned it's not easy RIP Montey

Even when you plan it it's just not easy :( Montey hasn't been well in many many years and the barn owner with her daughter made the decision that it was time. I had told them I would be there and take care of him if they wanted me to since I know how hard it is and knowing the BO hasn't gotten over the loss of her boy. Well we got everyone scheduled and I went out this morning to meet the Vet and the pet memorial crew everything went as planned even with the horrid weather we are having. Montey is now running and playing with my beloved Jet Lag and the BO beloved Speedy, finnaly free to run again.

:cry: I've had a good cry and just needed to share.
For those that are wondering he was in his late teens and had kissing spine as well as navicular.

Thanks, it really helped to share this with everyone.
He really was special, I met him just about 3 years ago so I never did see him in his glory but on the other hand I didn't see him go thru the worst of his pain issues either. We developed a specal bond while I've been there of couse it didn't hurt that he was in love with my mare. He loved to give most everyone a hassle when he could exept me ;) when it was paste worm time they would just pass it to me and he would just take it. So it just felt right to be the one to help him over the rainbow bridge.
