OK, I have about 35 pounds to lose since London Jane, the love of my life was born. (I hope this is ok to post here)
I need help, support, and ears to listen to me rant and rave about changing my diet and getting my booty in the gym. I just joined a SUPER nice gym by my house, LOVE the environment, and its always DEAD- no one to watch my fat butt jiggle while I work out....
SOOOOOOO, I was hoping maybe those of you that want to take a weight loss journey with me could hop on this thread and we could help each other??? You know, exercises, recipes, killing cravings, that sort of thing!!!
Any takers??

Well I will come here to wish you luck and help talk you out of chocolate, etc. But I suck at diets and excersise. LOL. Just remember to give yourself AT LEAST 9 months to get back to your orignal weight. It took you 10 months to get to where you were when you had London. You can't except results overnight!

I lost my weight a lot faster with my son, but I breastfed and ate better. 2nd time around...not so much. I *think* I'm at the same weight now when I started, but I still want to loose 30 or so.

Hmmm..maybe I'll try again??

I lost it and was happy with my weight on my 30th birthday 3/24/99... and then put half back on before I met hubby in 09/02 and now have manged to put the other half back on to be RIGHT BACK WHERE I WAS in October of '98. I need this 35 to GO AWAY before I turn the BIG 40 on 3/24th!

I'll be as supportive as time allows! (I'm going to favorite this thread). Yoga does more than make you flexible btw.. it makes you stronger and builds long/lean muscle. I know I preach yoga but I swear by it. I have been trying to lose weight, too.. not sure about pounds. But wanting to go down two jean sizes. So we're in this together!

I could totally stand to lose 30 pounds of baby and "good living" weight, but I just don't have the oomph in me right now. I actually lost 5+ pounds since moving here - because I started shovelin manure onto the top of a stacked compost pile (inside large bins) instead of just dumping it in a spreading pile or spreading it out on the field! Hah! It was nice when I finally bought new jeans and went down 2 sizes from my last purchased pair.

Anyhow, CONGRATS on your decision to shape up! I def will keep track of your progress and try to jump-start myself into committing to doing it as well. I almost started at a gym here, but then ran out of time and money (and increased stress oodles) so I didn't get to do it.

Quitting smoking is an excellent start in your plan, but be careful that it doesn't result in a pressure to eat more bad-for-you food. I am the queen of "comfort food" - when I'm feeling tired/sick/happy/proud :) I want to go out to a nice dinner and try new or old favorite foods. My goal financially and weight-wise will be to only go out to eat that sort of thing 1/2 as often!! There, almost a commitment... :D

I want to lose 10 more lbs by the end of the year. Definetely realistic but ill have to work hard to get there. 10lbs would put me at my end goal of 135. One thing that sucks though is that I love to eat  I lost a lot of weight this Summer, then 7lbs since. But now that my weight is getting lower and I wont have the muscle tone I had this Summer I have to work a lot harder! That means I do need to go to the gym (that is by the way free here!), and eat normal.

as you can see I have a long way to go .. I walk as much as possible but as far the gym.. I have no more time in my day. I need to stop the soda and the Chocolate.....

I'm half-way with ya. :) I'm never happy with my weight and I'll lose loads, put a bit back on, lose loads, put half back on, etc.
Age - 15
Weight - 112 lbs
Hegiht - 5ft 5" (I think...maybe 5ft 6")
Goal - 100 lbs

Trying to eat healthily and all but failing miserably :p. I'm so busy all day that I'm only having one meal a day at the moment and not snacking as much either (when writing/playing guitar it's hard to eat). :D

I lose weight when stressed so with school going the way it is it should all just fall off..

I'm looking to build up my running again and do the London Marathon next year. My main goal is to get on the school track team for 1700m (about a mile). At one point I was running a mile in just over 5 mins - my best was 4:43 but I collapsed afterwards  I've been out skating a lot more recently and I feel better for it :)

I've been having lots of balance issues lately - I'll just be stood there talking to someone and the next thing I know; I'm on the floor. Also, I'll walk straight into the middle of doors:doh:. But I'm stupid like that:huh:.

I eat the skippy natural (the best type let me tell ya!), not as good for you as the pure natural, but better for you than the other stuff. PB is actually real good for you, but moderation is the key, and I dont always have that with PB!

Hi everyone!! Ok, no weight off, but I have a GREAT protein shake recipe that tastes like HEAVEN!!
1 scoop gnc 100%whey vanilla
1 T natty PB (oh, yeah)
1/2 frozen banana
ice
water

blend and YUUUUUUMMMMM!!! I just had one- so doesnt taste like a protein shake- it is a full meal though, lots of cals I think 300.
Im so glad alot of you are doing this with me!!!
Pinky- Im only going to say this once, and hopefully dissuade you from losing any weight- I would look like skeletor disgusting if I weighed in at 100#, and Im 5'6" too. Sounds like your 'balance issues' are due to lack of food. I think you know it.
Good luck with the marathon- you will have to eat to compete- ask any athlete, they will tell you. Marathon runners take in mass amounts of calories and carbohydrates to keep them going. Im not trying to start anything, but you are either telling the truth and need help, or you are lying and trying to get attention. who were you at horse.com? That will tell me alot.

OK. Back to topic.
Sooooo, who has a great local chicken recipe?? I have a great marinade I can share!!

I had a reply all typed up and then the computer died  I'll try again.

Palomino - I was mad4pinkhorses over on H.com, says in my siggy. I don't think I'm fat - I just want to lose some weight off my butt and thighs. I am thin on my top half but my bottom half is just really chucky - it isn't helped by the fact the shorts my school makes us wear for Gym are like hot pants. ><

I don't care if I put weight on or if I lose it, it happens. I worked really hard to get my weight back up after dropping to 80lbs (I was 5ft 3 then) while my parents were divorcing, that was stressful and I stopped eating pretty much altogether because of it. The balance issues have only started recently and this is by no means the least I've weighed.

When (if) I start running again I will eat more. It's just that I don't have much of an appetite. I never feel hungry but I can (and will ;)) eat absolutely loads if it's food I like. (Chinese mostly :D)

I have looked like a skeletor in the past and I don't want to look like it again - I just want to be able to wear a dress without worrying what my legs look like.

I live off protein shakes :) It's normal for me to have 4+ a day. And I always make sure I have over 1500Cal.

I don't diet (absolutely no self control) but, as I said, when I'm stressed it's normal for to lose 3lbs a week; sometimes more. I eat the same, exercise the same and it just goes *poof*.

I don't need help and I'm not lying. I can show you a picture of me on holiday if I find it.

Well, Im in.
I am 27 coming on 28. I used to weigh (until I got preggers) 115 - 123 on "bloated" days.
I won't dare take a guess at my weight now, but I could probably afford to lose about 60 pounds. I am planning on joining a gym this winter once time will be more allowed.
I try and eat *good* foods, but slip into the "binge" stage every once in a while. I don't eat breakfast and that's a lot of my problem with having a tough time losing weight. It's a bad habit Im trying to break, but forget to eat often.
I would also like to quit smoking. Right now I smoke about 1/2 pack a day, depending on the day....sometimes it's 3/4 a pack.

I love working out at the gym, I especially love areobics. I would like to get into Yoga too. A friend of mine loves yoga & has tried for a long time to get me involved in that as well.

I am all about cheering people on, and love to get cheered on!

Now, I would also love it if you guys would kick my ass for me if I "slip". I need people I can reley on to hold me accountable for what goes in my mouth (or what doesn't in the case of breakfast).

I love the gym, heck I used to Bodybuild....Not any more though. I am burnt out on the menotiny(sp) of the gym. I found I am becoing in better shape and just eating better when I am active and doing things I enjoy. I don't believe in forcing your body on a diet. I recamend eating smaller portions more oftain through out the day to ramp up your metabolism. Keep the sweets and junk food to a min. and find "healier" alts instead. The gym is great. But I recomend going 3 times a week with a day of "rest" in between to let your muscles recover after being ripped. On your rest days find another way to keep active. Dance, yoga, ect.... Forcing yourself to work out is going to get boring and it could burn you out and get you discouraged. I don't want that to happen.

(I was in training as a fitness and nutrition consultant. I did not take my ACE exam because I desided I was tired of the "fitness" world and have moved on to a different type of training, but I still have all of my rescources available if anyone needs questions answered, advice, or even just an ear to vent too. I also will keep popping in to give encouragement to all who want to take this journey).

Good luck.

OK, I found this thread. To be honest I avoided it the first time I saw it!! lol

So, I want a tack room. I took over the garage and it's full of Muffin stuff so we can't even park the car in there. Let alone the Hubby work on anything with out having to move horsey gear. So, I found this company that makes mini barns in all different types, styles and such. I want this one kind that looks like an old saloon from the wild west with a covered patio and everything!! It is just the neatest building but it costs almost 3k. I keep trying to convince the Hubby it would be in his best interest to let me get a tack room built so he can have his garage back! lol hee hee

So today I talk to him and he says that I can get the tack room if I have a plan. Plan? What plan? He says we have the money but he wants me to have a goal to get the tack room. He knows I have been complaining about putting on a few pounds and how inactive I am and out of shape.

So, he thought up this idea that I can get the tack room that I want instead of just some cheap aluminum garden shed if I better my health like I want too anyways. He wan'ts me to feel better about myself not just lose wight. He doesn't think I am fat and I'm not fat, just not happy with how lazy and out of shape I am.

So, I get to start working out and bettering my health and I get the tack room that I really want! lol I guess it's a win win if I can get my butt off the computer and start getting more active.

Here are my states and goals:
Age: 28
Weight: 155
Hight: 5' 9"

Goals: He wants me to set a goal of 125lbs but I told him I would be a stick figure at that weight. He starts complaining when I get down to 135 that I'm too skinny. lol I think he just put that goal to make me take it seriously to get in shape and get more active. My goal is about 135 with muscle on me so I don't lose my butt!! Once the butt goes I look like a stick figure and have to put on more weight. But, I want to be healthy and have more strength and muscle so 135 fit not skinny would be great!

I'm vegetarian but don't get the idea that I eat well. I don't!! Yeah, I might not eat meat but I eat everything else that has fat in it, chips, cookies, lots of French fries, deep fried onion rings and the list goes on. I do not eat healthy and I really need to start eating better. I have a huge lack of energy and stamina due to not eating well and lack of real exercise.

I look healthy, a good size and not over weight but I am so out of shape it's not even funny. You should see me try to run! Or do anything that is active for more then 5 mins. lol I have no stamina.

Also, Stop Smoking!!! Ohh boy do I need to stop smoking. Talk about a stamina killer. No wonder I can't run!

Ok, So I am with ya on the getting in to shape! I need to and I want to take riding lessons this spring so I need to get myself fit and strong to ride properly. I can't be stopping to have a smoke brake and lay on the floor because my back and legs are killing me from actually using them! lol

Small Goals for today:
Get bills paid
Get exercise bike out of garage and in to the house (this will be a work out)
Find palates DVD's gathering dust
Clean house with a vengeance! (another work out, have you seen my house?)

Hubby has a fitness test coming up so he is going to be working out too. Muffin could use a few easy lunging sessions a week also! That boy has no stamina and is very lazy. lol We all need to get in to shape around here. lol

Web site of the tack room I AM going to get :)

http://www.drycreekminibarns.com/catalog/publish/Western%20Building/Western_Building.shtml

I just love this building!! It's on skids so you can move it if you decide to. I can customize it with windows, sky light, doors on the side, flower boxes or shutters and so on. I think I am losing weight just getting excited about it!!! hahaha

:clap::clap: to all of you that want to get in better shape and lose weight. A year ago I weighed over 170, today I weigh 127. I feel great, shopping is fun again AND I tuck my shirts in again.

Do not skip meals, eat breakfast every morning, cut out the excess carbs (30 a meal is my max) and sugar. Look for higher fiber, subtract the fiber number from the carbs. Get sauces on the side and dip your fork instead of drenching your salad. Go with no sugar added ice cream and popcicles, my weakness.

And start exercises slowly. I started by walking 15 minutes and worked my way up. I can't run for long distances, but I can now run. Yoga or pilates are great. I work out with light weights three days a week and TRY to get in at least two more days of cardio. Usually about an hour a day, while I'm watching TV.

:) When I first started walking, I went to my pasture. When I was about 1/2 way around, Rose, my beautiful App, spotted me. She started neighing and running toward me. Of course the other three joined in. So there I was walking around my pasture, four horses lined up behind me, I really enjoyed the company. I imagine we were a sight. Alas, they finally figured out I wasn't going anywhere and now just watch :).

I'll check in from time to time to cheer you guys on, if I can do it, anyone can.

Sounds like you need to tone up, not lose weight....maybe you shoudl focus on some strength training and such to tighten up what you call your problem areas?

Right on. I didn't get much exercise today. I got up this morning and grabbed a coffee & headed out to the garage to have a smoke. Both of those things are a bad way to start! I just recently learned that you should put something...anything in your stomach before coffee. Even an apple, I just honestly forget, I really do since I am never hungry in the AM. Anyways, I go out to the garage & had to collate all morning. I got done, came in made lunch for the kids, went back out to finish my work. Once I was totally finished I came & checked in here....and here I still am!

I have to go to work this afternoon too.

So....all that being said & bad me, here's my plan for tomorrow.
1) get up & eat an apple
2) have a coffee & smoke
3) go to the gym to give them my $$
4) go check on Cawl
5) likely have to go to work after that
6) depending on how things go at the gym, go workout

Now, that's the plan. Hopefully all goes well. I would also like to squeeze some time in for Rodeo more too. I haven't been spending enough time with him due to being busy with everything else & being so sick.
That's also a goal.

I can't tell you all how much I weigh cuz I dont know. I do know that it's over 130 lbs though, and that's where I'd like to get too. I think if I weigh 130 and have had 2 kids & one still birth, I will look pretty smokin good!

AppyLover & Tatesgram - it's awesome that you are gonna come in here & cheer us on! It'll be a huge help!

IG - that tackroom looks awesome! I should talk to my hubby also!!!

OK, Im back from working and riding Inka (we hopped over a little 2 ft jump a couple of times, it was great!) and now Im eating some chicken (boneless skinless, baked, 3 oz). This is hard- I need to bring a lunch with me when I go work. I left the house at 9, had a pb/banana protein shake for breakfast, a kashi trail mix bar for mid morning and now Im having some chicken- I am WAY to low calorie today, and Im hoping I dont blow it tonight and hog out in front of tv. Guess I will just have to get on the forum LOL!!

I am not in that good of shape now, but I have taken up belly dancing and some yoga, and I feel great! I actually FEEL beautiful. My confidence is up and I like what I see when I look in the mirror. lol, THAT is what I thought, and then I just said "so what?" and I baught myself lessons. I love it, and if you want to try it see if the local studio allows a walk in or even will let you watch a class. I just say go for it, because I am self concious too, and was very tired of being that way. I was tired of always feeling like I had to hide my body because I am not a size 8 any more and my mid section could loose a few inches. And awhile ago I had read that belly dancing is the dance to celabrate being a woman. I went for it. Even if you want to wait I still think if you want to try it make it a goal. I have so much fun. I think you would too.

I'm joining you guys! My roommate and I have been trying desperately to lose weight. Gym almost every night, dieting, etc. It's just so hard in college, waaaay too much temptation. I've lost about 3 lbs so far and my legs are looking really nice again. But I want to lose atleast 10 more pounds.

Stats:
Age-20
Weight-115 lbs
Height- 5'2
Goals- 105 lbs
Get healthier
Manage my diabetes better
Tone up again

It's harder losing weight and keeping it off now that I'm diabetic. I'm doing a low carb diet right now to decrease my insulin needs (which is what causes weight gain basically). I managed to go all yesterday without having to take a single shot except for my daily basal dose. But I love carbs! Lol ;). I'm sending skinny vibes out to everyone else on here!

I wanna join the group!! I don't really have a weight-loss goal but I want to be in better shape! I have a Gym membership that I NEVER use and I'm just getting way too lazy and am eating like crap :( I sit in an office all day and then work with the horse after work which is some excersize but not much. Now that it's getting darker earlier it's hard to be motivated for the gym because I feel like it's already bed time, lol.

I used to be in great shape, went to kickboxing about 4-5 times a week, ran a Marathon in Jan '06 and felt great! I feel like I've completely tapered off in all physical activities aside for riding and the ocassional hike or run. Maybe reporting back to this thread will help :) Now I'm going to go read through the thread and see how/what everyone is doing.

Oh I forgot my stats and goals

Age: 25
Height: 5'3"
Current Weight: 115 (I don't mind staying here but if I do go up because of the weight of muscle then I'm fine with that :))
Goals:
Start eating healthier and more consistantly
Doing some form of activity once a day even if it's sit-ups, push ups and other stuff in my room.
Get to the Gym AT LEAST 3 days a week
Tone up and strengthen both lower and upper body

I am so not going to the gym tonight. I just got home from treating Inkas mud fever, and she spilled the bucket all over me, kicked at me when I tried to pick off the scabs, bit at the horse next to her stall- all in all she is not a happy camper. Cant say as I blame her tho.
Soooo Im staying home, showering, and snuggling my baby!

That sounds like a plan :) I'm not getting out of here until 6:30 and then I'm running over to the horse. I think my work-out for today will be chasing him around the arena! It's a sand arena so running in the sand is great, lol! I'm gonna do 5 laps to each direction...maybe more...maybe less...lol...depends on my lungs :) Maybe throw a couple lunges and squats into the mix? Barn-goers are gonna think I've lost it

Ugh, don't even joke about that! Sounds like the annual Horse Unit work out I had to endure while on the Equestrian Team.... I went home and cried in the shower for 45 minutes straight. At one point we had to split up into groups of 4 and do sprints back and forth across the arena holding a jump pole over our heads.

Hi,

I used to be pretty obese and started putting on a lot of weight especially on my thighs and bottom in my late thirties. I started exercising as often as possible and also cut down on a lot of high calorie stuff. Unfortunately I hardly managed to lose any weight at all. I then recently read an article by a lady who claimed that she managed to lose nearly half of her weight using a particular weight loss product. I tried it out and it actually worked really well. Within 4 months I managed to shave off 65 pounds completely. The results were pretty amazing and I feel so much healthier and energetic now without having to carry all that extra weight around. You can read more about the lady's article at the link below

I know what you are going through, not the baby since I never had one but the weight loss. It's so hard.

I went most of my life being 90 lbs or less. I was always the little girl in school, like when I was 18 I looked 10. I'm only 5' tall and my body shaped could be described as "Stick Figure"!!!! I figured I'd always be like that. HAH is all I can say now!!!! I went up to 168 in no time after I hit 40. I am a sugar addict. I needed a 12 step program...."Hi my name is Annie and I will kill for an M&M"! I was always a sugar addict but never gained weight but then it caught up with me. I was so depressed, I was like a ball as wide as I was tall. Extra Large clothes were getting too small.

I was really sick, I had IBS very bad I couldn't leave the house with out 5 Imodium and anti spasmodics. I finally went to a natural healer everyone here talks about. Drs always told me my IBS was my nerves and I didn't have thyroid issues. I went to her and she told me I had yeast in my intestines and a thyroid problem. I got suppliments and she gave me a diet. I sat there and cried because finally someone found something wrong and didn't pat me on my head and say "It's your nerves". That diet was tough though and I told her "Kill me NOW" because under beverages it said "Water", I was used to drinking a few cans of soda a day, water wasn't in my vocabulary. It was so hard, I can still remember the last piece of bread I had, it was 3 yrs ago!!!!! I had to cut out all sugar and anything with yeast in it. I went through withdrawel, it was awful. She described it as like a drug addict getting off of drugs. I had such cravings and I was shaking and a mess. I never lost my craving for sugar. I did loose 68 lbs which was great. That was with not much exercise just cutting out sugar.

Diets are hard especially when you have people like my mother around who will eat something she knows I like and can't have but she has to share how good it is. I guess she doesn't realize what she's doing but that's hard.

My problem is still a big stomach, I'm small all over but my stomach, that went down but isn't gone. I can't do sit ups because of ripped stomach muscles I got 11 yrs ago and hurt something awful. Anyone have any ideas how to get a nice stomach without sit ups????

Sorry for "the book" but I just wanted you to know so many people have the same issues. I don't know how to get motivated to go to a gym, I wish I knew. I have a bike and a treadmill here [I had a big ball but didn't use it so I gave it to the horses!] and can't get motivated to use them. Sometimes it's easier if you have a friend to go with you. Do you have anyone who will go to the gym with you? That's nice then you can talk and encourage each other and the time will go faster.

Good luck, I know you can do it. If I did it I have faith anyone can because I had every excuse in the book why I couldn't go on a diet and why I couldn't exercise. I still have the exercise issue! I gained a couple lbs back and I would actually like to loose a few more but it's like I'm stuck here now and can't go down any farther. I can't eat much less. My diet is very limited without any yeast or sugar in it! The yeast is gone from my intestines so once in awhile I will cheat and have something with sugar but I don't make a habit out of it. I don't want the yeast to come back. I have to say some days I'd kill for chocolate. I love chocolate more than about anything!!!!!! Good Luck, I'm sure others have better ideas, I just wanted to share my story because I never ever thought I'd loose a lb. and I lost 68 of them! I have no will power usually so I know if I did it I have faith you can.

Good job oursarge!

This is very sad on my part. I have blamed my weight on my first born for a long time. I just assumed the weight would "fall off" after I had him. Well, that was not the case. I have battled with my weight ever since then & he's 8 now. I know that it's not anything to do with him, especially after this many years! It was just always easier to pass off the blame. Now, the ball is in my court, and I am very disgusted with how I look & want to do something about it. I can't look at myself in the mirror & think "man, Im pretty" anymore. I used to, but I can't now. I try but it's all one big fat lie to myself.

I will say though that breaky has always been a bad area for me. I did get up this morning & manage to put down a peice of bread w/ PB on it. I really wanted an apple or orange, but didn't have any left
I'll have to go buy some today I suppose. Then I shocked myself again & had a tiny little bit of lunch (which I don't usually do either).

I was gonna go to the gym today, but MIL wants to go with me & can't go today. I'll wait & go with her I guess. Until then, I'll just keep trying to straighten out my eating habits & diet. I'll start by exercising when I go to feed Cawl. He makes me chase him because he thinks he's gonna have to go for a ride, so I can get my exercise that way! Running around the pasture! Im sure the neighbours will think I am a nut, but that's OK!

I had a meal of broccoli and cauli with 3 oz of chicken breast for lunch, which also happens to be breaky- I suck at getting up and eating too. Soooo, if I can keep this up all day and night (eating healthy) I will be one happy girl!!!

Oursarg...wow, I'm so glad you found that natural healer. I believe in the benefits of western medicine as far as surgeries and complicated procedures go but I really love the natural way these homeopathic doctors deal with conditions without all the harmful meds. It amazes me at the awsome results people get! You have my total respect for being able to drop the weight through that harsh diet, you had it in you and you have no idea you did! :)

So last night I did the running....the lunging caused me to fall flat on my face and roll my ankle...haha. It was a fluke that there happened to be a rock under my front foot. Better me than my horse I guess :) Most likely will not have any activity today because I work late and then have a class after work :( This weekend I plan to do some HEALTHY shopping so at least I can get my healthy eating habits started.

Lol palomino, I never get up in time to eat breakfast. I had a lunch of tuna and broccoli.
Got on the scale this morning...111.5!!! Yay, it's working! Dieting is a lot easier for me now that I understand nutrition. When I was first diagnosed, I met with a nutritionist for a while, and I really understand what my body needs and doesn't and what to cut out to lose wieght. Carbs (sugar) are the main thing to cut out to lose body fat. That's what puts weight on your stomach, thighs, hips, etc. Calorie cutting doesn't work if you don't cut carbs because calories are easy to burn off, carbs aren't.

Plus, a warning my nutritionist gave me that I've found to be completely true... don't buy low and no fat "light" products! Yes, they will appear to have a lower fat content, but in almost all cases they contain more carbs and sugar to make up for it! They're less healthy than the regular product! This goes for milk, dressings, yogurts, almost everything. So be careful.

~hugs~ oursarge. That is truly an inspiring story. The best thing for your stomach is cardio. Sit ups and scrunchs build muscle under the fat layer and can actually make it look bigger. This is also my problem area. The way to get rid of the fat layer is through cardio. Skip rope, run in place, jumping jacks, dance!

Two abdominals I like,

1. put on some music, stand with feet shoulder width apart. bring your knee up and touch the opposite elbow to the knee, then switch sides. then bring your knee up and touch the elbow on the same side, this will work the obliques. do as many or as few as you can.

2. lay on your stomach. raise one arm off the floor while raising the opposite leg, then switch. eventually, speed up to where you almost look like your swimming.

And by the way, 68 lbs is awsome!!!:)

OMG, I feel so tired today and lethargic. I really need to get to the gym, but my eyes are burning and my body is screaming for a nap. I may go take some of the diet pills I have so I can at least get the housework done before I crash. Man, I am WIPED OUT for some reason....I had a couple 100 calorie packs today after lunch, sooooo I figure that was my little treat today. I need to get to work- Im going to bed early tonight.

I have done an hour on the elliptical machine for the last 2 days- and I have eaten within my realm of calories and good foods. I just have to stick with this for awhile. And not drink. I feel much better the last two days- think that could be a sign???
I hope you all keep up with this and we all help each other.
So have we been walking the pastures, round penning our horses, going for walks, to the gym? Eating fairly well or not after 8 at night? Any other accomplishments with your goals? I know Im not the only one- I have to be the laziest person on this forum LOL:sleep:
I made some tilapia and brown rice, it was so good I LOVED it!! I also marinated some chicken to put on the grill later. I have tons of frozen veggies for dinner too.
I bought crystal lite for my sweet cravings, and tea for nighttime.

Totally planned for the gym last night but couldn't motivate enough to do it once I got home from the horse and a long day at work. So I did some push-ups and sit-ups in my room, had a salad and watched season 2 of The Office. This morning I woke up and had a banana and a small spice muffin with coffee and for lunch a grilled chicken salad and lots of water. I really need to get to the gym though! It's so hard for me because I'm at my best in the morning but I literally CANNOT get out of bed early enough to get into the gym before work. The after work i'm so tired from the day that it's hard to get motivated...:( grrr....

I totally know how you feel mandi!!! Im NOT a morning person- Im just glad I can make appointments around my schedule- its a luxury I NEVER thought I would have. I am a slug by the time john gets home from work, I very rarely leave my house during the week after 5 LOL- Im dead by then!
Im so proud of you for watching your foods and exercising what you could!!!! Its about doing what you can until youre ready to do more! This week is the first week back in 2 weeks- plus I was eating crappy. I am officially on day 3 of doing good.
I cut the weights down to twice a week for now- Im going to kick butt on cardio at LEAST 3 times a week, Im aiming for 5, but we all know how that goes. but if I can do cardio 3 days, and weights 2 days, I think I could deal with that for a couple of weeks until Im ready for more.
Today I did 30 minutes on the elliptical, and 20 minutes on the bike.
I was on the treadmill for 2 minutes, but my booty was jiggling so bad, I got embarrassed and went to the bike....:o
I have made a pact not to weigh myself for at least a week. Going to the in-laws this weekend is sure to derail my diet. At least its just overnight.

I'll join. O know I am a little late in the game, but what the heck. I will be 27 in March, have 2 children, and here's the weird part. I gained 20 pounds after I had my youngest. My dr finally told me that it was because of the birth control he put me on, that most of his patients have had that reaction. So now that I"m off it after 2 years, I have to literally work my butt off.
age 26
height 5'4"
weight 224
goal 150

I know that the goal of 150 may seem like it's still too much weight for me, but that's where I was 7 years aog when I got pregnant the first time and I was happy at that weight. So I guess I start tonight with dinner.

Pal: After a few weeks, you'll work out like clock work. Or at least, I do...

I am taking Hoodia/green tea.. not a miracle pill.. but it DOES help curb appetite.

In a week I've lost almost 10 lbs.. and I just eat til the hunger stops.. and eat several times a day. Almost grazing lol. Now I just put food away without thinking.. I sat down with a small chicken salad for dinner.. ended up eating half and putting the other half away like a robot.

I'm getting 2 hours a day in.. 1 of cardio with 30 min of strength training and 30 min of yoga.

pallavesta- I am like a MACHINE doing that cardio these days- I had a 'refeed' tonight and ate some BK- now I feel like vomiting LOL. Buuuut its my one cheat a week. So tomorrow Im going in and doing a hardcore full body circuit class, then an hour of cardio, then Im going to go ride/play w inka. And tan.

I havent lost ANYTHING since I stepped foot out of the hospital doors. ARGGG! There has GOT to be something wrong with me. Besides my cheat meal, I have been eating clean, and working out like crazy. I get burned out with not seeing any differences.

Pal: Dont rely on weight.. scales are bad for me. I get addicted.. I'm not kidding. I go by pants sizes. I say "I want to be a size - - by ?/?/?" and that's my goal.. muscle will interfere with weight loss in numbers.. but when the number DO drop you know its FAT not water and muscle

I want to be a size 5 by March. That is 5 whole months. Im in a 12 now, so I dont think thats too unreasonable. I think my butt is getting less lumpy looking now so thats good. Im off to go do more cardio, another hour on the elliptical or half elliptical half bike, we shall see.

Ok, I havent left yet LOL- Im waiting for my fat burner to kick in and wake me up!
Good: getting more endurance, I can feel my hips getting sore, means they are getting worked, means they WILL get smaller!
Good: I feel WAY mentally healthier when I exercise, even if I do have to listen to hate rock to get thru my cardio LOL

good! See?

Like just now I put on these jeans that have been SO tight.. like I like to leave the button undone tight.. and now they went right on.. not baggy.. but just right.

So these are my new "testers" I'll put them on a few times a week to see how its going :cowboy:

Tonight is a tough one for me, we're going to eat for Bobbys birthday. I did elect to skip wine and only do water. And we're doing sushi.. so I'll probably do a tashimi (or whatever its called) with no rice.. or only half a roll (4 pieces)

We'll be drinking at the hotel.. but I also elected to do a few shots over mixed drinks.. for calories sake.. not that we wont burn them off later :p:p:p:huh::eek:

Page 8!! Wow!!

Ok, so I posted waaay back on some other page. I have not done anything to get in to shape besides bring the exercise bike in the house. I almost tripped over/on to it yesterday and that is about as close as I have come to actually getting on the bike!! lol!!

I'm thinking of strapping my wireless keyboard to the handle bars and parking it in front of the computer! That would at least get me on the bike. :)

I have tons of house cleaning to do today so that should get me moving. Hubby will be home for a few days so that will be nice to have him home and we can get some stuff done around here that's been stacking up. I get so lazy when I'm by myself around the house. I need to get out more.....
