Hi,
I wanted to introduce myself. I have been lurking on the other site for about 6 months and have learned so much by reading your post and I would like to become more active now. (I hope I remember my loggin.)

I have ridden horse most of my life. I was out of it for 18 years however, when I found out the place that I worked had horses that could be ridden I started riding again. I bought a horse to replace one that had died of old age. I have since sold her (developoed bad habits) and have now moved to a place where I can have horses on my own property and was given Oreo a spotted saddle horse that is a been there done that horse. (Very long story there). So now I will probably have questions about having horses at your own place. A lot has changed since we had horses when I was a little kid.

I will have to get some pictures of him so that I can post a signature and/or maybe an aviator with a picture of him.

Post anything Horse related here... Pictures and videos, questions, issues, reports back from shows and rides! Anything at all. As we grow and start to need subdivisions, we'll create them, but for now, we thought just one forum would be easier to manage and navigate.

You can create photo albums here to directly upload pictures, but you'll have to upload them to an album and then copy them to your thread. We'd like to improve that functionality in time so it works like the HGS forum does, but that's an add-on module we have to buy and install separately, and we're looking at the options now.

Sorry, but I'm at my parents house. I took Sombra for a nice long walk to eat grass. :( I let her be naughty and eat wherever she wanted. This is soo much harder then I thought it would be. I'm really starting to feel it. She's such a pet to me and I guess that's why this is so hard. At least the new owner has already invited me out and she's taking all my instructions. She's really a sweetheart. Sombra really is lucky.

Oh and by the way. I'm trailering her to the new place next Saturday.

Another lurker here….Hi everyone, I’m Olli. As you can tell from the username I am a Colorado girl. Been reading the horse.com forum since before the big crash. Tried numerous times to register there, but never was able get the admins to help me out:confused: Anyhow very excited about this new forum and thank you to Wbay for creating it!

Currently I am owned by a goofy 4 year old Morgan gelding, Jake. The horse in my avatar is my 21 yr old Morgan mare, Lexi, who I had to let go this past month due to health issues. Hello everyone. I have been lurking around the other forum for many months and followed everyone over here. So I guess it is time to join in and make some horsey friends and learn more about the horse world from all of you. I ride western, mostly trail riding. We have had horses for 30 years. Right now we have 2. Bones(which is mine) He was a rescue horse. Was 650lbs underweight when we got him. He is a Red Roan 4 yrs. old. I do not know what he is(besides a horse LOL). And Cloud.. he is a cream & white Quarter Horse paint. He is 9. A little shy but a great trail horse. I started an album with pictures of our horses for all of you to see..

To post a bigger picture I use a host site like flickr or webshots, or photobucket, upload my photo there, then pick the size I want it (from those sites) then copy the http:// code and post it over here using the little mountain and sun icon in the post edit box. You can also just type [IMG.] and [/IMG.] (without the '.'s) and paste your http:// link in the middle. Hope that helps!

Get this... Blair is catching up - she is now less than a pound smaller than Binx! Hubby and I have a ball watching them wrestle (better than TV) and Blair is really holding her own - she is quicker than Binx and can roll her over and pin her in a split second. Binx is still the one that minds - comes to her name whenever I call her, stops doing whatever if I yell her name AND she sleeps on my chest every night. Blair on the other hand is just starting to come when called - if you call her for a REALLY long time... and she is still getting into my plants so the soil is all covered in foil now. However, when she is ready for attention - she is the biggest cuddle bug, purrs crazy loud and will sit in your lap forever. I'll have to get some new photos tomorrow and start a new thread.

OH - I have to add this although it's quite embarrassing... Blair is a total hussy! She is always rubbing all over the Bun and putting her rear in his face and then she just rolls over in front of him! She does this to Bob when he comes in at night too and I have to squirt her with the water bottle to get her up and oughta there... little hussy with raging hormones already that one is!

Actually, if you look up at the top and see the Amazon links and use those when you're going to buy from Amazon, we get a percentage back from that, and that will help pay for the costs of running the site. We'll publish more about that later, but I appreciate your thoughts on helping to support us. :)

The software was a couple hundred bucks so far (add-ons and some extras we might still install sometimes have a cost), and the hosting will be $125 a year, so far.

So it's not a lot of money, but we would appreciate the support by using us to access Amazon or any other sponsors we get.

I use to have three horses but they just got to be to much trouble and expensive and I got tired of hauling truck loads of hay fro them every winter.

I got into farming instead.( like thats not work):)

Im getting into pigs,chickens,turkeys and honey bees next year. :)

I like long walks on the beach, a blanket in front of a fire place(but not to close it might catch on fire):D

Hey All,
Same as I was on the other board, and sorta disappeared from. I've been really busy all summer, and have moved to upstate New York of all places. Training out of a barn here, and putting on a series of clinics this winter. Cowboy Horsemanship-Dressage in a Stock Saddle, Cattle Handling Horseback, Fundamental Roping Skills, and two different on ones on both ranch roping and team roping.
So, I'm gonna be busy as a bee, and may not be around much, but will stop in and say hey when I can. Good Job on this WB!

This is Whitney (or TWHequestrian) from horse.com, I figured I'd change my username since I no longer have the TWH.

Anyways, for those of you that don't know me, I have a Paint named Baloo who I do dressage and jump with. I think he really wants to be a cross country type horse (he'd be a great foxhunter, IMO) so we are trying to get to Hunter Paces when I can get a ride!

Finally found y'all over here...

Just to let everyone know, my herd has increased by one. Now we have Prince, the 20 year old Belgian carriage horse that I've been driving for the last 3 years. He needs some serious weight put on him, but he looks just MAHVELOUS for a boy of his age and hard work background...
