Does anyone here speak a different language, what do you speak, and how long did it take you to learn? I was just thinking about this today, and thought it would be an interesting topic.:)

I studied Spanish for 3 years, French for 2, and Japanese for... idk a few months? I pick languages up really fast but I forget them quickly too. I couldn't converse in any of those languages now, lol.

Thanks :) I don't use them much though :p
Welsh is mandtory over here (as I live in Wales :doh:) and I hate it...but it's really easy. If you hear a conversation between my and my friends in Welsh it's hilarious - we all speak a mixture to confuse people. It's useful in my school not to have a convo in English because then you get all the chavs evesdropping. :mad:
I probably use the Arabic the most - some of my friends have arabic as a first language and it's just easier for everyone in the conversation to speak one language :).
ROFL at Vick:hysterical::clap:
I agree, it's really cool that everyone speaks so many different languages!

I actually got into a conversation about French (the real one, not vicklynn's version) today at work because there was a woman whose shirt said "J'embrasse mon chien sur la bouche" So I asked her if she actually kissed her dog on the mouth, lol. She said no.

I speak french and spanish. I've been in french immersion since JK and I'm fluent in it, and I'm taking spanish in school. This is my third year in spanish, and I've picked it up really fast.
