Aw, that almost made me cry... I wish all horses could be so loved and happy when they pass on. He truly sounded like a special horse.

Yes, I wish all old horses could be so loved. Unfortunately there is a +35 year old (and no, that is not a mis print) walking horse near me that is currently looking for a home. If my situation was different I would take him and let him live out his last year or so here. I don't know if there is a story as to why they are getting rid of this horse, but it seems sad to get rid of him at that age.
