I am always learning. They tell me it keeps you young. (Is that true?)

Besides - I don't know everything yet. :cowboy:

How can I preserve this National Historic Landamark if you dont partisipate?

Maybe the Forest Service was right an no one cares?

When one stands alone, it makes stuff more difficult.

I have to go ride my horse. I will give you the Forest Service answers to the quiz when I get back. :)

Happy trails.

Yer welcome!

My father went to Forestry school in ND, and taught me to appreciate nature.

Then what does he do? Goes and becomes a Speech and Theater professor! Doesn't mean he forgot what he learned though- never understood why he didn't pursue a carrer in Forestry.

Thats cool G/R,

Dear E/W Amy -

This quiz is in no way - shape or form mandatory.
You will not be ejected from Baywind Farm if you do not volenteer.

Volenteers appear from the choices they make.
WE can not make volenteers do anything or else they wold not no longer be volenteers would they be?

Thank you for your help.

Happy Trails- :cowboy:

Forest Service answers..

1) In the beginning of time, who showed the trail to the Nez Perce?
Who?

2) Who was Bird - Truax? What date?
They build the Bird- Truax trail.
(New name for the Lolo trail - first re- name it before you de-value it.)
What date? No one knows how old the trail is- it is always moving.

3) Who cut a 10 - 12 foot lane in the timber? When? Can it still be seen today?
Chris Jenkins - I can' t even find the trail. There is a lane too? How wide?
Erica- Where is the trail? No one can find it.
Steve Armstrong- Its a Single path.
Milo McLeod- its a braided path- what lane?
Karl Roenke- There is trail tread all the way acros the forest- with a lane in places.
I dont know how the lane got there. How old is that lane? Who can say?
I only had two years to work on 150 miles of trail. Milo got 2 years to study just 30 miles. I do my best with what I have.

4) Is the Lolo Trail a single path trail? ...or many paths like a passing lane on a highway?
..or like a wide sheep drive?
see #3
5) What is a clearcut?
Forest health- fire management-and elk feed.

6) How long does it take to grow a tree in Idaho - that is ready for market?
We manage for sustained yield on our Forests.
Trees are a re-newable resource.
