Well I have been debating over the past few months about getting a camera. I don't need anything special, just anything smaller and more reliable than my parents camcorder that is about 4 years old and HUGE! I just want something smaller that I can bring with me everywhere especially the barn and on trail rides. I did make a lot of dinero over the summer working so there is no wait on getting one. BUT does anyone have any suggestions on a semi good quality camera at $200.00 or cheaper? It doesn't have to be high tech just able to take pictures and video!

Thanks in advance!

Here is what I bought this summer after a long time researching, reading and talking to people. I am LOVING it!

This is what I had before I got my Nikon D40. I took decent pictures with it and it went through everything with me without any problems.. This includes being out in the dead of a PA winter. :D I also dropped it in the snow before and didnt find it till the next day.. Still worked perfectly.

Only thing i dont like is the video feature eats up batteries.

I have a fujifilm s8000fd

It is an amazing camera. Its 8 megapixels so it takes high quality pictures. Its got the dual stabilization thing so it takes clear pictures of fast moving objects. It shoots video. The 18X optical zoom lets me take pictures of really distant objects closely.

Can I say enough good about it?

Theres a deal out there I got it with a memory card, tripod, case, batteries, battery charger, and some other little things for like $300 which is a really great deal. I need to try to find it for you. Im not sure how much just the camera goes for.

I like photography a lot and Fujifilm is my favorite brand for quality and affordability. Probably the nicest pictures you can get short of a D-SLR.
