Well! Now that I figured out where everyone on horse.com went!
OK, not THE best conformation pics ever... I couldn't quite get my mom to understand I wanted them exactly side on. So here are a few... tell me what you can! What I see: sickle hocks as main flaw. Tell me more. I don't know a lot about the specifics of conformation. I can't quite grasp shoulder angle still. All I know is my baybay's cute! lol. and a stubborn sweetie!
I am playing with him in very basic dressage, he doesn't care much for ring work, so we don't do a ton. He's a great trail horse and he loves to canter an outdoor jumping course, I would love to make him into a horse to do hunter paces with! Just need a trailer now...

There's just a big long welcome thread stickied to the top of each of the General Forums. You can step in on those and introduce yourself, or post your own hello somewhere, your choice :D

What cute markings!
He is sickle hocked and might also toe in in back (cow-hocked). He's down hill, and his neck is kind of short for his body. OTOH, I like his shoulder, not too straight and not too sloped and he has a nice strong hip. I LOVE his little face.

Thanks! We cant quite figure out what to call him, but then the people I know pretty much only have experience with the basic Bay, grey, chestnut colour scheme. lol. Someone told me he's a bay roan though.
He does stand and walk with his feet pretty close together in the back (cow hocked?)
In that first photo he is standing downhill. He is actually built a bit uphill (withers are an inch or so higher than his butt). Unfortunately I couldnt find any clearer photos.
Thanks for the compliments on him... Oh, and his Head isnt "cute and little" LOL, he's got a huge head. He's only 16 hands and wears a warmblood size bridle. heheh.

wow, he's a handesome boy:) the only things i see are his sickle/cow hocks. other than that, he's perfect. :cowboy: lol. as far as colors go, i think he looks like a bay roan....could be wrong, though.

Thanks for all the compliments, guys!
I think he's gorgeous, but its so cool to hear other say so too!
Yeah, bay roan was the most popular answer I got from people over on other forums. His markings are a chestnutty/brownish colour, and his medicine hat is more of a light brown/tan colour. A lot of his markings on his chest actually have just white fur over his dark skin.
We are going to a Hunter Pace tomorrow with another boarder at my barn, so wish us luck (luck, as in him not galloping off into the horizon without me...)! He LOVES jumping, especially out in the field or on trails.

I love his head!! And neck!!! He looks like a thoroughbred cross with a paint? Do you know what he is?
Things I see: faults: Slightly toes in front and back. (Is definately not cow hocked. . .thats when the hocks come in towards each other) backs a little long, shoulder may (or may not be) a bit steep, hard to tell without being straight on the side!) I'm probably missing something but that's about it for me!
Things I like! Love his neck and head. Head might be a bit big for him but it's very lovely!! Love his hip!! It's got a wonderful slope to his tail! Nice short Cannons, short pasterns. .
Nice boy!! Good to see you here!

No, I don't know his breeding. He didn't come with papers or anything, the girl just told me he was mostly QH.
hehe, his head is a bit large. He's only 16 hands and wears Warmblood size headgear. His saving grace is its a cute head

Well I am not good on confirmation, but wanted to say Welcome. Your horse is a a big boy! Everything looks in proportion to me, but again, I can't say one way or another. ;)

Oh, and just FYI in case anyone was wandering, I had mentioned earlier we were going to a Hunter Pace on the 12th...
He did AWESOME!!! I was so proud of him! It was the first event I had him to and he was a perfect gentleman (except next time he gets a red ribbon in his tail, he didn't care for other horses crowding him).
I am hopefully going to get to go to some more yet this fall.
