I didn't know there was such a forum. Why can't adults act like adults and not like kids..... I just don't get it.. I wouldn't be too upset. If she wants to be that way you do not need her as a friends. friends don't do that to friends.....
Huh, didn't even know she had a forum. I just don't understand the mentality - why suspend you?

Its the same as WB did, went off and started a new forum, but invite only, they dont particularly like the eww aww of the teens and all the pink saddles, ect. She has members from horse.com also. Some you saw them on horse.com, some you didnt. Im sure she is lurking here and is reading this, and frankly, I dont care.

I am not in any way colour coordinated :p. Black saddle, brown bridle, blue saddle pad, navy breeches, black t-shirt and a red top. Just too much effort!
To be honest, I don't care if someone has a Gucci saddle and matching tack set as long as it fits the horse!:)

Gee Vick. Sure hate you are missing all the love and compassion of that group. I really didn't see any problem using 2 forums for me, but the last few times I went to the "other forum" I left with a knot in my gut. I've never said anything about any of the folks on either forum and I feel like I'm in the middle of some kind of riot when I go over there. More power to them. I haven't seen any hateful stuff about anyone that chose to stay over there, but maybe I missed something. I don't think we need to be talking about anyone ('cept Obama:p:))j/k. You'd think we were stealing money from their pockets by joining another forum. I really like a lot of the folks left over there and care about them, but I don't need all the drama. I would watch Days of Our Lives or something if that's what I wanted. I can see from some of the comments, that a lot of the issues are personality conflicts between some folks and the rest of us just get lumped in with the problem I guess. What can you do about jealousy and anger?
Well I guess there is a bunch of mean spirited talk going on over here according the rumor. Oh my. I spent a little time just now on h.com and wanted to cry. What has happened to those we considered friends? I guess we are horrible because we got sick of trying to use a forum that no longer works. I'm now depressed.

Gee Cat. Don't be depressed. You're amongst friends. Take a breath look around...all the buttons work, nobody is making you feel second rate and everyone cares. Now don't you feel better.....you're home now. Fix some hot chocolate and pull up a chair.
I read the same stuff you did it sounds like.:jawdrop: I just don't understand it.

I consider all of our members be it here or there friends give or take a few. Just chalk it up to experiance and go on. As a relatively new horse owner I know I ask many questions and rely on the answers I get. It seems that the ones who actually pay attention and give me decent answers and advice are here now. Some adults are much worse than kids with the pettyness of things.
Yes, I was hoping to keep in touch as well, and maybe if things smooth over I will be back there, but for now I think I just posted my last post over there.

Oh Vick..I am sorry all that had to happen to you. I don't know why the attitudes about who posts on what forums would even be an issue.
I wanted to be involved with both forums still but I guess that won't happen now. I actually did post on a thread and was not even acknowleged. I read the threads and thought it was so mean spirited and I must say...It was not fun to read. It actually made me sick.
I did not know Ex had a forum...but why would I? I wasn't in the "group" I guess.
One of the reasons I came over here is because I just love all you guys and I did want to be part of something "from the start". This forum is really neat, mainly because all of you guys are here and certainly because everything works.
It is just a great forum, period.

Honestly I think their behavior will just drive more people over here. The only mentions of this site have been buried in Not Horse Related for the last few days, and a lot of the folk still hanging around there didn't go there much. So I worried they still didn't even know where everyone went.
But now that they've pitched this big a fit in General, maybe those still left now know something's up and they might look around and find us.

Hey, park it, Sundays Man! :p:p:p
Vick,
I hope none of these difficult posts (just saw another one at the other place) are too hard for you. If possible, I recommend a simple "I'm sorry you feel that way." and leaving it at that.
One of the most difficult lessons I have learned in life, but I'm mostly successful at now, is turning away from negative, hurtful things and realizing that if I respond similarly that I then sometimes behave in a way that makes me feel less good about myself.
I had an ongoing argument with a co-worker some years ago that continued for probably a year or more. My wife finally convinced me to take the high road as a way to end the nastiness (which worked), but I also looked back and found that I wasn't able to be proud of all of the things that I said, either.
I'm sure glad that you are a member of this forum! In addition to enjoying your posts and company, I have no idea what we would do with all of the LOA requests without you to help us process them. :):)

Could someone point out where we said anything nasty about the people over there? (other than this thread, and this wasn't nasty in my opinion, just surprise and sadness) Cause it is completely befuddled me. I mean I always knew people see things differently but I just can't get over HOW different we all see things!!
Sigh. I guess we aren't welcome over there anymore by some people. (not the entire place, just a couple) I'm happy that I'm here with you guys and thanks to all of you for beings such great people. I wonder if they realize maybe people like Vick haven't posted over there as often BECAUSE that forum is not a great place to be right now. Why is anyone over there upset that people asked others to come here? How is that anything other than a compliment? How is the cornering people? It was a nice gesture - NO one said to leave there completely. I tell you, some of the people showed a completely new side over this whole thing.

I haven't checked over there for about a week- and I think it was a few weeks before that when I was on there for a little bit. Even then, it just didn't feel right.
It's almost like something happened after the first crash- but there wasn't anything specific- just the atmosphere had changed.
I don't see any reason in ever going back. As a few said before, maybe someday, the rest of the family that haven't migrated over here will choose to join us.
I still have a hard time believing there's so much of a problem with coming over to a new forum when most of the forum family has moved here.

I know there are people at all 3 forums. I will not mention names as some of them are our favs at horse.com and here. If you know them from Exs site and horse.com thats fine. They know who they are. Im sure some of them are reading this, heading back to horse.com and Exs forum to report, and some may be waking up.
I just wish that people would wake the heck up. No one had a fit when Ex started her forum, for those that knew, so why is it an issue that WB and WB started one?
Either way, the treatment going around is crapola.

Wow, I lurked at h.com. Why is one comment I made so bad, they make it seem that I started a group of haters or something. Wow.
The only reason I started this was to make a joke about me being suspended at Exs, over a stupid comment, and it ended up a hate war.

Aww..Vick...i'm sorry...I think??? Your first comment on my thread over there was not rude. I don't understand WHY you would get suspended from an "invite" forum. I just don't understand some people.
Most people are members of several different forums. H.com was my only forum till it crashed. I lurked around a few other places, but nothing felt like "home". When h.com came back online, it was never the same.
We are not prisoners of h.com, we all have the freedom to go where we choose. I like it here, because it feels like the old h.com. I wish a few others would come join in, but I understand if they don't. However, it saddens me that an important "post" over there, has turned into such a nightmare because some people are upset that many members have chosen to belong to more than one forum.

I was trying to be very neutral in all this and still visit h.com but I agree with Remali--there are some very nasty underlying feelings over there about some of the people here at WB's. I don't understand why, don't want to get involved but I think it all comes down to jealousy over WB's popularity. Wow, that's mean. I learned a long time ago you can never tell anyone anything you don't want spread around. I only tell my husband or my parents, nobody else. I had one lady tell me she told her minister's wife something in confidence and she spread it all over the community.
I was never invited but chances are I wouldn't have gone anyway. I'm happy here and will stay. I don't go to the other since it makes my computer die every time I try it. Horse.com used to be the only forum I was on, but almost a year ago now I was not getting the "at home" feeling anymore and started searching out new forums. After the crash I found myself spread out on 5 different forums. Blah - a lot of time just going between them. Now I am down to 2. :)
I get my smilies at BestSmileys.com
I also love this one...http://bestsmileys.com/thinking/1.gif and I know that one eventually got pulled into the h.com smilies as well.

Because we want to discuss it and talk about why it makes people upset.

I dunno why I posted that? I can't even remember posting that last night?
Maybe it was the cat?

Oursarge...maybe your computer knows something we don't?! lol. It's trying to tell you something.....
I had no idea ex_racers had her own invite-only forum....but that's OK, I doubt if I would have wanted to join up anyway.
I feel at home here, and here is where I'll be! :)

I was trying to be very neutral in all this and still visit h.com but I agree with Remali--there are some very nasty underlying feelings over there about some of the people here at WB's. I don't understand why, don't want to get involved but I think it all comes down to jealousy over WB's popularity. You can't do anything about another person's insecurities, so I agree--let's let it go!;)
i agree completley!! i went on there yesterday, but it just didn't have the same "at home" atmosphere that it used to have. http://bestsmileys.com/clueless/4.gif

I'm never one to redirect a conversation, but I think we should go back to horsey/non horsey stuff but not h.com or other forums. It's causing some pretty negative vibes and it's not going to really help anyone.
I say let things be as they are. Those that don't want to come over here don't need to. Those that want to be in both places, go for it and be happy. I know no one here wanted it to get nasty over there. It happened and we have to just accept that for now.
Of course you can all ignore this but I don't want to see it continuing to spiral down. It's left a bad taste as it is and I just see it getting worse if it keep up.

Agreed cheval, and well put. I don't want to have to actively keep people from expressing their thoughts and feelings about all this but I don't want to encourage or nurture an increasingly negative vibe between the two sites either.
Let's let it be, and now try to grow this site into a healthy, active forum that is fun and informative to be at. :)

I noticed you were gone and I really missed you.:( I put a shout out for you but never heard back and I've often wondered what was up.
Well if anyone should have bad feelings about each other, it should be WB and me.:p We sure have had some heated discussions, but like I said before, I put on my big girl panties and get over it. And SundaysMan said it well too, not a direct quote but it was something like "we can still be friends even if we disagree about politics, religion, etc." Is that right, Sunday's man? I'd add sports teams to that list too.;)

Well then for those who either don't know or didn't remember: Cat very generously let me adopt one of her adult bengals... and when I went to pick him up his little brother "somehow" snuck back to NJ with me ;) They just had their 1 year anniversary with us in September and are doing wonderfully!

I often lurk in forums (my way of not being tempted to stay too long...somehow it doesn't work, though!) (and helps explain the "guests" you'll see), and haven't been on the h.com forum much lately. It has a holier-than-thou feeling to it, whereas this forum is warm and friendly, and as others have said, like h.com used to be and the original reason I joined!

All publicity is good publicity;)
so I looked... and there are even a few people who ARE here.. who are being a little two faced over there.. and bashing WB and Vick.. which does not sit well with me...
Yepp I took notice to that too... I don't get on either site too much b/c I just don't have the time. And to make a big deal about anyone not posting much is crazy! I guess I would be in the group of people not posting much & not caring! Which is untrue some of us have lives! LOL. Craziness I tell ya... just plain craziness! :p

I understand Cat. I felt the same way. I really wanted to stay in touch with those that stayed, but it's really too painful. Call me stupid, but I'm not sticking my hand on that hot stove again. I really miss Clay, Hunter and DC and some of the others. I really like them.

NJ - Hey there girl! Glad to hear the kitties are doing good! Where are the pics??? Oh, Lily - their mom - is staying in the family. I retired her, but she is living with my mom and ruling the house! LOL. I will get to see her over Thanksgiving.
