LOL

I rode Pandora bareback today to the pasture so we could work over there on her woah. She did really well. In the process my lil' sis wanted to lead my llama over. Minnie(the llama) started getting upset and wasn't listening, so I told my sister to hand me the leash and I would 'llama" her along side Pandora. Besides her huge hate for Pandora she did fine, and so did Pandora. They both don't like each other (jealously I think most of it is) but Pandora just chugged along like whatever you idiotic llama, I'm being the good girl here.
Just thought it was funny and something to share with y'all.

Also, I hope this is the right section WB if not, please feel free to move. I was torn as to where I should put it.

Cute!

The last and only llama my horse has ever seen was a few years ago while visiting Shiloh horse rescue in Sandy Valley.
This llama was the same color as my gelding and he was running up to see my gelding. Good thing I was off my horse because he "FREAKED!"

If you had tied the llama off to the horn on the saddle, would he be a Dalaied Llama?

That's even funnier the more you think about it because you have to be a horse person to get it. Kind of like that old Steve Martin joke where the punch line was "I said sprocket, not socket", but nobody got it because it was a "plumber's joke."

Carla will like this one. Carla?

:D If I can make JackieB laugh, my day has not been wasted. :)

On the subject of llamas, almost without exception, horses freak the first time they see one. Years ago, out of fears of running into one on trail (they were becoming very trendy with the hippy backpacker set around here) a friend of mine bought one just to desensitize his horses to them. Now he has several llamas and alpacas because they're just really cool animals.

And I still have yet to run into one on trail, though I would not look forward to it on Bay....

I've heard plenty of horse/llama stories. A friend of mine took a bunch of horses to Colorado elk hunting (Buster would have been in that group, in fact). They unloaded after 25 hours straight in the trailer, so the horses were obviously very strung out. What's the first thing the horses see? Llamas!!!!! They absolutely freaked. One mild-mannered gelding about tipped over the gooseneck trailer (he was tied to it). Poor thing.

That sounds funny, but I can't believe no one has said....:worthless: What is wrong with you people?? This would have been a GREAT time to take a picture. :D

LOL, Y'all are toooo funny! :) :hysterical:

I can try and get someone to get a pic nexttime. I didn't have a camera with me, or I would've. Minnie's ears were pinned back to her backside I think, LOL :p , But Pandora wasn't the least concerned.
I was trying to make sure I held Panda's reins, held the llama leash and made sure I could safely stay seated on Pandora since I was bareback. LOL

Maybe you "alpaca" a lama...aren't they kind of a short version of a lama? Or do you "lama" an alpaca.

Alpacas are shorter then llamas. lol :p So maybe you are Alpacing an Alpaca and Llamaing and Llama, all while on a horse?

Yea I got along time ago, more like 3 llamas ago probably. (I've had two llamas before and have a third now). LOL

So It's Alpacing an Alpaca on a horse, or llamaing and llama on a horse? Sound good enough? Lol :p

Y'all need sleep, or something. Your just toooo funny! :p

I promise to try and get pics when I can. With Panda's teeth being done I know she'll need a little break probably (going to ask vet on specifics) but after that I'll see if I can. It might be with a saddle instead of bareback since my new saddle's suppose to be in tomorrow. Would tacked up instead of bareback present a problem for y'all??
