I had to bring up a pic of a horse for another thread, and decided to post some more.
Im originally from Juanita Washington, next to Bellevue if you know where that is. Moved to Seattle around 68.
We had horses when I was born, a QH Stallion(Dusty), QH mare(Shadow), their 2 fillies(Ginger n Gypsy) and a burrow.
I only know 2 pics, they had his name on it. The rest I can only assume.

Dusty(stallion)

Scanned 4 at the same time.
Top right is Dusty(stallion), side view, he stands 16hh.
Top left, one of the fillies
Bottom left, one of the fillies
Bottom right, Shadow and one of the fillies.

Sorry, tried to make them bigger. I am not computer smart.

Not sure if mare or stallion. Forlock is in the way for marking. Wanna say mare due to size.

Now this goes even farther back...this is my dad, 8 yrs old

The lady in the pic is my mom, she is who got me started with horses, my dad is part of why I still do.
Ignore the date on the pic, it was my birthday, Jan, but pics developed in Jul.

I so enjoyed my trip to WA. I love all the old pics I got from way back when.

Your mom looks like my mom - and the living room, I think all pictures from that era are pretty much the same!! Was your Dad's pony black and white? I heard so many stories about the pony my Dad took to school as a kid..and went to fetch the cows with... sometimes he would forget and call Susie Trixie or Dolly... names from his childhood.

Ya know, I never asked him what color that pony was.
I hear ya on the living room.
I think we all looked alike back then..LOL

Those are really neat, Vick! And that one of your dad as a kid reminds me of one my Grandmother has.. I believe it's of my Granddaddy's dad, maybe?

Anyways, whoever it is- the pic is printed on some sort of a piece of black metal. It's a little bent & wavy, but I remember being amazed at how cool it is to see an old pic like that- printed on something so strange to me. I believe he had the really nifty tapaderos, though, much like in that pic. :)

My sister chris is on the ground, and I think my brother steve is sitting and my brother jeff is standing.
