I'm wondering if we're able to do this. I know on HGS you can just double click the thread "box" and it'll let you edit/change the title. Will we be getting a feature like this?

I was wondering the same thing yesterday - I tried to figure it out for a little while but never did :(

You should be able to! If you edit the first post on a thread you made, isn't it there? (It is for me but mine doesn't look exactly the way yours does)

If it opens in QuickEdit, do click Go Advanced.

Ooh, all right, I was in the quick one. So yeah clicking Advanced does work-- thanks WB. :D

Well.. I just edited a title to one of my threads(the "Countdown" one) and nothing changed. You have to click on the actual thread to see that the title changed. Hmm.

 Well, we're looking into it... bear with us!

For now I just changed your title myself so people can see your update, but we're figuring out how to fix that for the long term...

I've changed the title of my thread before, you just do exactly what WashingtonBay said.

Worked for me. :D

cloe are you sure it changed out in the forum display, and not just in the thread view, because what we're finding out is that the post title and the thread title are two different things, and this software apparently designed so that only admins and mods can change the forum thread title.

If you want to change the displayed thread title right now I think you have to PM me or WBoy and ask us to do it

We're not real pleased with that, for the long term... hubby's looking around to see if there's any workarounds or customizations available. It's not that we really mind doing it... it's just slower and more steps for you to have to get us involved in updating threads.

Ahh, that I did not pay attention to. =P

Yep, I noticed that it doesn't change the thread title on the front page, wish it did...can it be done?

Yep, I noticed that it doesn't change the thread title on the front page, wish it did...can it be done?Possibly, but I can't promise it. Unfortunately, it's a software setting that can't just be switched in the admin, so it would require an add-on, or a custom hack.
