Melee Meets The Herd (20 Pictures)

Melee got here at 8 AM and I spent the time between him coming here and putting him out with the rest brushing him out and getting his tail knot and burdock free. Of course, he's dirty again now, but it was nice while it lasted! Never realized how hard its going to be keeping his white coat clean.

I thought this was going to be more of a hassle then it was as I was told he tries to be herd boss. Not the case here. Tyke will chase him away when he gets close to anyone, poor him. Raen and Prod just want to be his friends, Blessing and April dont care, and Tyke has his heart set on keeping him away.

Thats so awesome congrats! He looks like such a prettyoy and I love his name. I cant wait till you start telling use stories of you barrel racing him. Its so much fun. I love the picture of him and Prod. You take the coolest shots. It looks soo pretty where you live. Anyways I'm glad he settled in, hope Tyke dont pick on him all the time.

Beautiful photos. He's such a cutie, it is hard to keep them clean with all that white, mine are brown and black and I can't keep them clean with all the mud we have.

I love the shots of April. I wish so much that I could have bought her, she's such a beauty. I would have taken her in a second if finances would have let me. I hope she will love her new home and they will love her. It looks like MeLee is fitting right in. Enjoy him, I'm sure he is happy he has a good home with lots of new friends. They all look happy.

Thanks for the compliments everyone! The lighting outside was terrible, the sun was all over it seemed and I couldnt get any decent shots of them. :doh: But thanks! He's settling in nicely, Tyke is actually hanging out with him. Whaddya know!

I am going to start walking the pattern with him in a week or so probably, I'll tell you guys how that goes. :D

I wish you could've taken her Annie, I wouldve loved to see her go to someone from the forum. Melee is coming around quickly fortunately, I did have a little mishap with him today but its no big deal. Thanks a lot and you need to get new pics of your boys and girl here soon!

I have to say we did alot of talking about April, it was so hard to decide our finances couldn't handle another. She's a dream. I couldn't even come meet her because I knew if I did and couldn't have her I'd be so sad.

If I had you for a photographer I'd have alot more photos of my "kids". I am the worst with a camera and my husband isn't very good at taking horse photos. One of these days if I can get them clean enough we'll get some shots, I hope! Your photos are always great. You have a good eye.

It's pretty awesome! Even if you don't want to get into graphic design or more advanced things, you can still do basic editing to make your photos look great! Trust me, though, you'll want to get adventurous after a bit and start doing little graphic designs. xD

Annie, thanks a lot. I really do love taking pictures, unfortunately the horses being in the midst of getting their wintery coats and the trees losing all of their leaves doesnt give me any motivation for pretty pictures. Gotta wait 'till winter! I'd love to take some pictures of your guys and girl though.

I'm not sure how many acres we have. :) We 10 pastures, 2 huge ones that are 30+, and all the other ones are 8-10+. Unfortunately 2 of those pastures are down. The people we rent the land from own land all the way down the road.

Actually I'm flattered Aina! :D Feel free to use any of my photos as a desktop background anytime. Unfortunately most of the forest is full of gray trees now.. very little color left. :(
