What exactly happens when you upload it?

Good question cloe - and I just saw this... Somehow we missed it this morning.

2fingers... if you can post it here, or email it to washingtonbay (at) baywindfarm.com, we can help.

But do describe the trouble you're having, we might be able to just walk you through it.

I don't see it. :(

Ok, Well I guess not. hmmm. I uploaded it and it shows it as "my current signature" in my "Edit Signature" section.

Do I need to do something else? When I hit preview it shows the signature pic but not when I post?

The "signature" text box I left empty because I uploaded the signature so I didn't think I had to put any image code or the file address to have it displayed. It should just display it because I uploaded it? Right?

Well hmmmm.... let me do some testing.

After you upload your signature picture, it should automatically refresh your page and look something like this (http://i37.tinypic.com/qp5w68.jpg). Then you need to click on the Insert Signature Picture link, which looks like this (http://i35.tinypic.com/15fgjgl.jpg). After that, it should automatically insert the signature code (looks like this (http://i38.tinypic.com/2vdohdy.jpg), lol) into the area where you edit your signature. Then click on Save Signature (looks like this (http://i38.tinypic.com/sq5axj.jpg), I know I say that a lot =P) and that should do it. :)

Ok, I did the "insert signature" and it has that code in the box so I will post again and see if it works :)

Terrific. Thanks cloe! You're a gem! I was just going to have to write something up and there you go! :D

YaY!!! That did it!! Thankx Cloe!!

I clicked the "insert Signature" before and I saw where it put that code in the box but there was no address between the codes. So, I thought it wanted me to put the pictures address in there? So, I didn't and I didn't save it because I thought it should display the one I uploaded already not have me put in a new address for it.

I guess I just thought about it too much and should have just let it be and saved it in the first place. lol I guess the code didn't need me to add anything since I already uploaded the pic.

Thankx again for your help. Do you like my Sig? Ohh, I just love it!! :)

OK, I'm having problems with profile pictures and avatars...

I've downsized them to where Photoshop is telling me they're only 11K, but I'm still getting "upload failed" messages. Is there anything else I need to try to get them to show? I've tried both a direct upload from my computer and also posting them on Photobucket-- failed both ways.

Bummer.

Edited to add: Hmm, well, after I posted the problem, the avatar shows up, so I now am officially confused...

Glad it's fixed!

I will say that when I was playing around with it, one of the times I did it, I got the upload failed message too, but it had in fact, worked. So I have seen that happen, though I can't explain it.

My little paint boy is Stitch, the canine on hooves...he thinks he's a dog. He licks like a dog, follows like a dog, and he'd probably sleep in the bed with me like the bloodhound and the Bassett...

Thank you Cloe!! I am going to post it on the tread I started about the Muffin art from Quill. I think I am getting addicted to these!!!

Sarhound,
See, Now I remember from your signature pic. I knew it was Chico or Stitch but I couldn't remember which one or if both had paint markings.

Don't they have Walkers that look like paints? That's why I was not sure. Stitch is cute!!! He doesn't look small to me in that pic though. I bet he would sleep in the bed with ya. lol I know Muffin would if I gave him half a chance! lol
