I recently just started my horses on "Max e glo" Its a rice barn with stabilized energy. However since its dry hes always been leaving some in there and I dont blame him I do add vegetable oil however it makes it clumpy.
This grain also has 20% crude fat so this is great to add some weight faster on them.
Is this anything I can add do it? If I give 10% sweet feet will it decrease the crude fat there getting?
thanks:)

No real suggestion on what to add to it, but if you break it up into several feedings maybe he won't get overwhelmed with it : )

Add some beet pulp or alfalfa cubes/pellets and wet it down good... beet pulp is a great "carrier"
Nothing will decrease the fat ... but I would not add a sweet feed to anything LOL

Max E Glo is not a balanced ration... your horse will still need some vitamin/mineral supplement of sometype

Ditto that.
Maxi-Glo is a stabilized rice bran. They do make it in pellet form. I can't get it that way from my Tractor Supply, but my friend 90 miles north of me can get Maxi-Glo pellets at hers.

Anything in pellet form is a lot less grief to get the horse to eat than in powder.
Also ditto to lose the sweet feed. It is unhealthy fat/sugars/ starches.
Rice bran is something that more is NOT better. I feed rice bran as the main staple in all of my horse's diets. The metabolic horse gets the most at 24 ounces divided into to two feedings.
Everyone also gets a pelleted vit/min supplement.

its broken up into 2 feedings am & pm and then he gets a half scoop at lunch. and were feeding a Vita plus supplement and dewormer. I will look into getting the pelleted form, as far as from a month ago they just carried the " meal" grain .

ask them to order it for you :) in the pelleted form if that is what you want... I personally would find a good ration balancer and add from there ...

My four are on the rice bran only as well along with a good supplement. If you have a Purina dealer in your area you should be able to get the Maxi-Glo pellets from them as that is where I can buy mine when I run out of the Equi-Jewel that I buy at my local co-op. I buy mainly from the co-op as I can get the Equi-Jewel rice bran pellets in 50# bags versus the 40# Maxi-Glo, it only costs me $2 more per bag and worth it to me for the extra 10#.
