Well if anyone remembers I've been on the hunt for a new saddle, traded my senior trip for $600 towards a new saddle. I lucked out and found an AP 500 on Jeffers with a free gullet system and free shipping.

It came yesterday I tried it on Fred and the tree fit! After wrestling with changing the gullet to a Wide (eventually asked the BO who did it in a jif) it fits him awesomly. He even rode a little better than he did with the older one. I actually think the problems I had with him were behavioral because today I got after him pretty good about it and by the end of the ride he went fine both directions in all three gaits. I tried it on Cheyenne today and it seemed to fit her fine; I have pictures of it on her.

Anywho, I really like the saddle! Other than the gullet change system being a pain to do if you aren't bulked up, and the stirrup bars a pain to use, and the billets being a little stiff I love it. It has a nice seat and looks like leathre, matches my tack almost perfectly, and can be adjusted to fit my horses. So a win-win.

Now for pics:

Nice... I have a black one going on 8 years old now, still looks new. They wear really well I think.

When I was thinking of riding(for fun)english, that is the saddle I checked out at PFI. I really liked it. The color is great, the feel is awesome, and the fit, well with the changable gullet, ya find that fit is not a problem.
I would of purchased it else where, cause PFI is in it for the money ya know, big store business, but its nice to go there to look at different stuff I want to buy..lol Then I can go online, buy and know what Im getting.
Nice saddle, I hope you enjoy it.

I have the AP 250 for 7(?) years now and I love mine. Its still in great shape. When I think of a new saddle,(like I want a dressage) I go to Wintecs first. A couple of years ago I was on an obstacle trail ride and we had to cross a deep pond. Alot of other riders (english) were freaking cuz their pretty leather saddles would get wet. Dusty and I plunged right in !
