Has anybody ever used this? I've heard good things and have thought about trying it on my older, worn out saddle. But it was $20 at the Fleet & Farm and I don't want to spend that if it's not going to do much more than my saddle soap.

I have some and I really like it. I'm not sure if it does more than something like horseman's one step but it does soak in fast and last a long time.

I haven't used it. I don't like the watered down "cleaner/conditioners" so I use saddle soap to clean and Harness Honey to deep condition.

Lot's of people like Lexonal (or whatever that brand is called) leather conditioner but a friend of mine had it and we both didn't like it. It was just watered down stuff that didn't seem to do much but water the leather, once it dried there wasn't much of a difference. I gave some of my Harness Honey to her and she loves the stuff for old stiff reins, saddles and boots. It's the consistency of honey but doesn't leave a greasy or sticky feel behind. A bottle goes a long way and it wont rot the leather or stitching.

I have heard neats foot oil can be good too but I also hear it rots leather if you use too much or don't get the pure stuff.

I will stick with Harness Honey, It's worked great for me. If people use it to condition a harness that has to pull carts or wagons it must be some good dependable stuff! lol I have a thick breast collar I purchased used and stiff. I Harness Honeyed it and it's been hanging out in the garage for a year and it's still supple and looks new, minus some dust. lol
