Ok... I need some opinions/suggestions. Things have been getting out of control at work and I need to get out. Not going to go into details but I need to leave. My only problem is I'm getting married Feb. 21st. And going on my honeymoon March 14th for a week then we are having open houses in our home towns in May so that will leave me traveling for 2 weeks since one is going to be in MN the other is in UT.

I would like to find a full-time job, but having this much time I'm going to be gone I'm not thinking that will be possible so I'll likely look for a part-time job for now. I guess I'll be going back to school in the summer for teachers education so we can make due til then with part-time pay. How should i approach everything in job interviews? Now I can probably handle staying here for 2 more weeks (since I'll have to give notice anyway) so I can say I'll start after the wedding but that still leaves the open houses and the honeymoon... Ahhh!!!!

I guess I don't really need suggestions... I really just needed to vent, but if anyone has any advice that would be great!

Oh and anyone good with resumes that I could send one to to get opinions? I'm going to revamp it today then work on sending it out.

You don't need to bring up your prior engagements on the first meeting, but I would do it in the job offer process somewhere.

Depending on the job of course, most people don't have a problem with a pre-disclosed absence, of course, you'll more than likely have to take it without pay, of course.

Yeah, like she said!

If there's a second interview, or if the offer is made immediatley you would need to let them know. An employer is usually understanding when you're getting married, having a baby etc.

Thanks! It sounds kinda weird but I've never really had to interview for jobs... I always made connections and we did a kind of informal interview. The more I'm thinking about it I think I will try to get a job at a farm store in town. That's where most of our expenses are anyway. And since I'll be going to school starting in the summer I'll want a low stress job anyway.
