So back at horse.com someone gave me the directions to a really nice diaper cake!! I successfully followed the directions and made it! After that my computer crashed and I lost the directions. :(
So now I've ben asked to make 2 more this spring. So I'm on the hunt for the directions.
Anyone??

Do I even want to know what a 'diaper cake' is?

It'd really like to find the original directions I used because I already figured them out. If I start with new directions, then I have to figure them out all over again. Just because they make it look easy does NOT mean it is.

I just checked out the link. That might actually work. I thought it was the rolled diaper directions, but it isn't. Thanks Palo!

We got a diaper cake when Grace was born. It was great except we didn't know what sizes the diapers were! We had to hold them up to some other diapers to find out. LOL Now I could probably tell just by looking at it, but we were "newbies" back then. LOL!
Anyway, the cake was really cute and we hated to take it apart!

It was me who gave you the original directions. I don't have time now to type it all out. If you can wait until Sunday, I can do it again for you. That is if you still need them.

Oh, that's right! It was you!!
No you don't have to write out the directions. I think I might attempt the rolled style this time. I just watched a bunch of "how to" videos on youtube and I think the rolled one might be easier. I know it won't look at smooth and nice, but it'll be quicker. I don't have tons of time to do these cakes, so I'm going the fast route. :D That original one that I made took me like 3 days!! LOL. Have you done the rolled ones? They look much easier for my poor uncreative self.

Whoa, I've never heard of those before. They're really neat!
I've made two for co-workers. Um, no, actually I've had clients make two for co-workers. We do the roll-up the diaper kind so it works as a great exercise, too. The women who receive them just love them.
One group of people also put little slips of paper in between the diapers with either promises of prayer, mommy advice, or stories from when they were raising kids. That was really cool.

That's a great idea! Maybe I will suggest that. It is a church baby shower, so that would be a very sweet touch.

It still looks a little sloppy because I haven't pinned on the ribbon (it's just double stick tape right now) and The bear isn't attached yet, either. I won't do that until it gets to the church. I don't want anything getting ripped off while it's being stored in the closet.
Anyways, what do you think? I know it's not super fancy, but I barely know this girl, so I don't feel I need to spend much money on it.
It's very cute! I think the look like a centerpiece on the gift table.
