I survived my proformance last night. woohoo!
Ok for those that don't know I have been learning belly dance for the past 5-6 months and last night was our first show. It did not go perfect, but it did go well.
I was a part of three dances. The vail number in the beginning lost count on the music we had to throw an extra step in there to catch up to the music again, lol. but it did go well. Our second number which had a lot of music changes and technical moves went wonderful!! That number was the only one of the night that I was 100% comfortable with, I think the same was for the other dancers too, this number did go perfect.:) Our last tamborine gyptsy type number we bobbled all over the place, but all we could do was laugh it off and inprov a little to get through it. All in all it turned out well.
The drummers that played for us last night where amazing. One gentleman who is from New York actually plays an Aftican drum for traditional African dances and I will admit he plays an awsome beat to belly dance too.
Thank you to my forum friends here in Vegas that made it last night, you guys made the night extra special.:)
oh and before anyone yells at me for no pictures, camaras where not allowed, or you'd most likely be getting an eye full. lol :innocent: ;)
