Does anyone know where to get some. I don't want to spend and arm and a leg but want something decent!

What I do is get brooches from the costume jewelry dept of target, WalMart, etc. Use a pliers and snap off the pin back. Then sew it to a peice of suede cut to fit. Cut another peice of suede to match and sew a slide (rectangular metal ring on the browband of some bridles) and then sew or glue (use a heavy duty epoxy like E600) together. You could also use a plain concho instead of the ring, and epoxy it to the seude in back of the brooch. Then punch a hole in the second peice of suede and sew both together, with some glue inside for strength. You might need a longer screw to fit thru all the layers. I havent tried the concho way I just described but the ring way works awesome, I've used mine for over 3 years now. If you want some pics I have some in the myspace albums.
For easy to do, Tandy leather factory sells some nice conshos and i use those also.

You might try this website. The prices are reasonable and the conchos look nice. I have never ordered anything from them but I keep thinking about it.

There is a place called Lunar Leathers....they sell bling tack and sell just the bling conchos for you to do it yourself. They have some beautiful stuff, but I can't afford the pre-made stuff....

Yikes! The one place was expensive and I couldn't find lunar leathers. Does anyone know how just adhere a rhinestone to a concho?

I just found out yesterday that my Amish saddle guy has a WHOLE bag of 10mm Rhinestones from Weaver leather. He ordered them to do a cellphone cover for someone and had to order 100 of them. I could find out how much he wants for them and let you know. They are pink and are the type you poke through leather and then bend the teeth down on. :)

Hmm...I have some pink ones...Weaver Leather sells them then...I wonder how much they were to guy them. Those sound to me, like you could make a hole with a leather punch and put them threw...hmmm...sounds too easy to me!

The prong type typically work better with thinner leather if you're setting them by hand. And if you ever used a "BeDazzler" that's about the same way they're done. Use a rubber mallet so you dont ruin the crystal itself
I have used crystal rivets in which you do have to punch a hole first, and then pound the rivet into a base to hold it. Tandy leather factory sells a kit you can either get off thier website or at Micheals, Hobby Lobby etc. It it very simple to use but once again you have to use thinner leather. to compensate you could glue more leather conchos for thickness
The amish tack store uses a "spotter" machine to make short work of it but i havent yet taken anything there to try.

Look in your local craft supply stores..I have bought crystal conchos at Hobby Lobby and the most I have paid is 2.49.. I have also found nice ones on ebay.
