I have gotten two strange emails from people interested in Fancy. One said he'd pay me $200 extra to go ahead and remove the ad and he was having a shipper pick her up. He didn't want to come check her out and he'd pay with a check.
The second guy said he'd pay with money order and wanted to buy her instantly and also would pay me $200 extra to ensure she was his. The wording they use just seems fishy...lots of typos.
I'm not sure about this....any ideas guys?

Sounds like spam to me.
And I don't know about anyone else, but there's no way in H3LL I'd ever sell a horse to someone without meeting them first..

Anyone who offers you more than the list price is a scam.
Anyone who wants to buy her sight unseen and ship her all the way across the country is a scam.

DEFINITELY a Scam...here's a good link with info. http://www.dreamhorse.com/fraud.php
The cashiers checks, money orders, etc. are fakes and the people are long gone by the time you or the bank figures it out.

Well I thought it was fishy that they wanted her sight unseen..they did ask to see pics but still...it's odd. I think I'll pass on those two.

There are people who buy horses all the way across the country and ship them. But not usually unproven back yard horses, and not usually horses at the low end of ten grand. And they do it after some serious, local veterinary inspection and approval.
For yours, if they don't want to come out and look, and perhaps dicker with you about her, they're probably not serious buyers.
I've known people who have bought horses sight unseen for just a couple thousand - but they were looking for a specific breed & most definatley got a vet check.
Only time someone will offer more than you are asking is if they know you have someone else wanting to buy it and they counter-offer. That happens once in a while but the horse usually has outstanding bloodlines, higher-level training or was very underpriced for the current market.
These sound like a new spin on old scams. They aren't all coming out of Nigeria anymore. There are some that are right here in the US.

I've had a few of these from internet ads. They always have incorrect language and want to "ship" sight unseen and pay with check. I just delete them. Some people say they send extra and hope you will send the extra back before you find out the check is worthless.

I just have to say that this isn't always the case...that's how I bought Allegro..though he wasn't shipped all the way across the country..just KY to KS.
Maybe our situation was the one in a million type thing..
but as far as the OPs question...I agree that both sound fishy.
