They must be giving them away around here because I've seen quite a few but everytime I see one, I drool..and then drool some more. Beautiful car.

LOL, my boyfriend is so sad about them. He says they're cool looking cars, but it's an abomination to what the Challenger USED to be.
We're talking about a guy who has a '63 Comet with a straight-axle in it....he's very much a "purist" when it comes to cars. ;)

Ah - thanks! Cute car, but can it pull a horse trailer? Not sure where I'd put the hay.

I think your boyfriend can be a bit more open-minded about this one. It's those ridiculous cars that they call Chevy Malibu's and stuff that are a joke. Those make the "purist" think back on Chevelles. This is a bona fide muscle car that your boyfriend could take straight from the showroom to the drag strip and turn a good time.

Hehe, I agree with ya. He's an auto-snob...try going to a car show with him....oi!!!
Don't even get him started on Chevelles.....LOL!
We saw an Escort the other day with a Mustang graphic on the side of it. We had to laugh about that....

LOVE THOSE THINGS. Takes me back to the muscle car days. So impractical (wouldn't want to pull a horse trailer, or tractor, or hay, etc) but I so want one.

I dunno, it's a nice looking car but I just can't get crazy about a Dodge. Now a Chevelle.... that's a different story! My dad's dream car is a '68 Chevelle SS, so I have an appreciation for them. Myself, I'm a Ford girl, through and through.

I LOVE those cars! I love how they are sort of bringing back the muscle cars. I had a few Camaros back in the day, love those cars, and I think they are bringing them back too (woo hoo!). Too bad they bring such a huge price tag now tho....used to be the average person with a fairly good job could afford one, I bought my second Camaro brand new right off the showroom floor in 1984, but I sure couldn't do that today. How much does that Challenger go for?
My dream car? A black 1970 GTO!

They are NICE! I have a customer with one, so I got to have an upclose and personal look. No test drive though. And they have that muscle car sound. The other one that I like, and I can't believe I am saying this since I don't like Ford, is the Roush Racing Mustang. Once again, have a customer with one, and I could seriously hurt myself with that thing. 5.4 liter, supercharged with a 6 speed standard. My kind of fun man.

My dad is in love with this car!!! He has a 1971 charger and has been looking forward for the challenger to be coming out for years. And after my car getting rear ended...he is debating on me driving his car and buying one of these babies for himself. My family has now found a negative for my car still having its keeper...

I'm not real knowledgable about cars ....
Is the Hemi the new engine Dodge created that works off battery's or some type of solar panel ??

Sorry to burst any bubbles but, my Aunt has a Dodge Charger ('06 or '07) with a HEMI - she's had the worst time with it! Within the first six months she had issues with the power clicking off randomly (that includes to the headlights, at night), transmission issues, and an issue with a knocking in the engine, the dash stuff didn't work right, her gas gauge stopped working... among many other things.
A semi side swiped her (just scraped it a bit, no real damage), and when the cop showed up he was driving one (a lot of the police around here have them), and they talked about horse power and the problems she'd been having with hers and the cop said that when they stand on it to chase someone, that the power goes out in the car. Just *click* goes off! A couple other cops showed up (small town, half of them are related to us) and they all agreed that the Chargers are crap, and they don't have much hope for the Challengers either. :(
So my Aunt has sworn off all Dodges. After she finishes her Specialist degree this summer she's going to trade it in for a Mustang GT (probably, she's going to wait and get some "professional" opinions about a couple of other fun cars). She told me she's always been a Ford girl at heart, but the Charger just looked so pretty!
I'm saving my pennies for a '58 Ford Fairlane 500, hardtop convertible... but that's just me. :D

No, it's an engine that runs off of gasoline and not a new design at all. The "Hemi" part actually stands for "hemispherical combustion", which refers to the design of the cylinder heads and how the gasoline burns in there. It's supposed to be efficient for getting as much power as possible out of the engine.

I love the new dodges. I would like to have a challenger. Chargers I'm not so sure on because I've also heard about some issues with the electrical system in it.
But I'd take a nice truck over a car any day.

I don't see why anyone would be excited about spending money on a new car that burns gas like it's going out of style.
Someone stated the demand is what the manufactures will produce.
Ok so if we don't buy this gas guzzler , would they then start making efficient 'green' cars ??
I could make that car look good! *snap snap*
