Job update and all that....

Well, after two months (I applied back in November for this job), and two interviews later.....I got the one job I wanted most of all (well, I have actually been applying there for several months now, years in fact...)! I got the call today! I had done my internship there in 2001 while I was going to technical college....I really liked it there, it's a large medical clinic, they're really growing and adding on. I won't be in medical records any more, I wanted a change, I will be scheduling patients, I know I'll enjoy that.

Just had to share my excitement! I'm quite familiar with this clinic (so there shouldn't be any big unpleasant surprises like at my last job), I have three friends that work there (at the other clinics, there are several clinics in the area, I will be at the main clinic), and of course I got a good taste of what it's like there when I did my internship there. I told myself that 2009 would be better!!

I actually left the old job a week ago....it got so bad after that trainer was so weird and so nasty about training me (or not training me)..... so, it was sort of a mutual agreement, I got so sick (stomach bug) and missed a day of work and they got mad about my being off work, even tho someone there had norovirus (!!). So, no need to worry about that place any more, it's history.

Thanks, that last job was soooo bad, I couldn't believe how bad it was (and I've had some bad jobs before but was able to hang in there). No place is perfect, but at least I know more about this new job, and it's the job I've been wanting. I'm really excited about it.

Thanks! I haven't been able to wipe this silly grin off my face all day long, I'm so much more optimistic now. I was up half the night last night, couldn't sleep from thinking too much.....but now maybe I can relax. :)

For anyone else out there doing the job search, never give up.....I applied at this place for a long time, about 15 times to be exact (over a period of several months), and I had three interviews there (or was it four?!).....sometimes you just have to be persistant, good things do come to those who wait (the waiting was tough tho).

Good deal. You must be bringing us luck. I am going to work Monday, after about 4 weeks off. A temp agency took my information today and sent me to a factory to do assembly. I work 7 -3 so I can still take my CNA class. My unemployment is about gone and Bob is going through one of his "I don't want to work spells...dizzy...vertigo...heck I don't know. He went through it last year this time. Gets old. So if he is not working at least I will be.

I got some more vitamins last week, and want to get some more supplements too. Maybe since I won't be working so close to a hospital ER now I won't get exposed to so much stuff.....and my stress level will be lower too and that always helps.

Thanks 4myquarter....I had been trying for so long to get in at this place, I was about ready to just give up, but I'm glad I hung in there.
