Ok, I will admit horses with hoods on just look funny to me :) I never thought I would ever get Muffin one of these!!

But, I did! He's mane gets so dirty and stained from laying down and it gets rubbed off some from sticking his head out the rails. So, I decided to give one of these a try.

I figure I can use it after a bath to keep him clean for a few days or just to keep his mane nice.

I put it on him to see if it fit. He was a little confused as to why I was putting this in his mouth!! He kept opening his mouth when I was trying to get it over his head! lol But, once I got it over his muzzle he was fine and let me pull it over and get it on correctly. What a trooper he is for putting up with me! lol

So, Here are the pics. He looks so goofy!! I'm not used to seeing him in a sleazy! hahaha

I put his rain sheet on him just to take this picture. That's why the straps are hanging. I took all this off him. It's too warm for his rain sheet tonight and I don't want to leave the hood on him for the first time over night.

I also got a matching tail bag! ahahahh Poor Muffin!!:p

So, what do you think? He looks goofy huh? lol

What are you doing to my GrandMuffin??? Poor boy he has to tolerate you always dressing him up with something goofy!!! The neighbors are going to think "Poor horse he must have an injury" the ropers up the street are going to be laughing at him saying "Sissy Boy, your Momma dresses you funny."

Muffin is such a good sport but I think you are taking advantage of him ... that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!!!

Thankx so much, Pandoras Mom! :) I'm trying to get used to it. lol Poor guy. lol He didn't seem to mind.

Yeah, Theres a storm a brewin'. It's 60 out side so it's a warm storm. Last night it was windy, rainy and chilly so Muffin got his rain sheet but I had to take it off early this morning because he was starting to sweat after the sun came up and it reached 60's again. We get some confusing weather!

Muffin is shedding like a mad man right now. He's blowing his winter coat because this weather is so confusing and gets warm during the day. It was 80 the other day...No wonder he is blowing his coat.

Oh, good grief! Take that thing off of him right now or I'll sue you for so much money on his behalf that I'll be able to balance California's state budget with it, buy Muffin a big bag of treats, and take a vacation for myself! :) The things they are willing to put up with for us. :)

My TB Heaven has a sleazy hood that I sometimes use for my shows. Haha, I should get some pics of him in it sometime. He looks like a racehorse. ;)

What size did you have to buy for Muffin? My horse is 17hh and I had to buy a L (I think it's actually 800-1100 lbs) I'm not sure if it will fit him anymore since he is so muscled and has gained much needed weight.

Thankx Vicklynn :) Yeah, I ordered this one off Ebay. A lady makes them so I ordered an Ex-Large. I like ordering stuff people make. I used to make custom dog collars so I like ordering hand made stuff to support the crafty people. lol It turned out really nice. It's stretchy and soft and actually loose on him. There is plenty of room in there it just looks tight.

I love that plaid blanket! I had to get another one, but a light rain sheet. I hope it still fits him next year .

Mom,
Muffin likes the attention so he doesn't care what the neighbors say! :p He's "under cover" as an expensive show horse! lol Now if I could just get his belly not to hang out we might get away with it! :p

I thought there might be a storm. The weather has been crazy all around this year, guess it's another one of those times for weird weather patterns. :p

Lol Jackieb

I understand what you mean about the handmade stuff, I try to when I can. My mom makes dog collars, etc. and I have a special spot for handmade stuff even more so then. Lol :p

Don't encourage IrisGreen. :)

And don't even think about putting a pink one on a gelding. I'm thinking that the firm needs to upgrade to a larger helicopter this year, which also means repaving the helicopter landing pad. I'm going to be very hungry for a good lawsuit or two and a pink Sleazy is a slam dunk.

Well I've been wanting to get one for my appy gelding, although I wanted a black one that I could sew a batman patch to between the eyes, and have "I am the night" embroidered on the neck.

I do have a pink phone now though... maybe I could get him a pink one, then we could match?! But what kind of patches do I sew to it?

LOL, you could still sew a batman patch on it.
I would just get it a different color other than black.
Maybe a darker or lighter pink than the sleazy.

Or you could tie-dye it. :p

Strawberry Shortcake patches of course!

Muffin looks cute, even with his big old belly!

Hehe, he looks cute!

Well, I finally gave in myself and ordered a sleezy for Mitch (same color and with a matching tail bag -- wonder if we got ours from the same place, Iris) because his mane has really started to look good since he rubbed it out last summer (trying to get alfalfa hay the brat!) and I had to roach it and cry about roaching it. :( But it's grown out, and I need to start training it to lie down, and he'll need a sleezy because Haflingers are supposed to have long beautiful manes. And then darn it, his tail is so nice and soft, it needs to be bagged to keep it nice this summer.
