I was curious, are you going to leave Horse.com's forum for good, are you staying, or will you just pop in every once in a while? Also, do you think Horse.com is going to just leave their forum as it is, delete it, upgrade it, etc.? I thought it could be fun to predict and see what happens. :D Hope nobody takes offense to this thread, I just thought it would be interesting to see what everyone is going to be doing and their thoughts. :)
I personally will be popping in on Horse.com's forum here and there, but I think this is my new home! :p Also, I have a feeling Horse.com will just leave the forum as it is, that's just me. xD
I don't know how much I will bother going back to horse.com - visiting there has been spotty at best for me over the last 6-8 months. Use to check it religiously, but not anymore.
As to fixing the forum - who knows. If they do lose a big chunk of people they may just let it die out. If not, I doubt they will fix it anytime soon. If they were serious about fixing it, it would have been done by now, even if it meant recreating the forum and transfering accounts over. But no, they leave it the way it is.

I will keep going back to pop in and try to lure people over here!:):D I'm excited for this to be my new "home".

Well, I already deleted the link to horse.com forum from my links tab and I replaced the space with a link to this forum. I think that about sums it up. I'm just not into it anymore and I'm sick of the sub-forums, toooo many clicks.
As for what they will do, I have no clue. I'll be interested to see though, they're losing their most active members.

I will be on both, moreso this but I am definitely going to keep popping over there until virtually no one is there anymore.

I'll be on here mostly but I'll check over there once or twice a day in case anyone has been left behind and doesn't know where we've all gone! :D

I'll pop in every now in then over there but this place will be my first spot to check in!
The only reason I've been going back to Horse.com since the big crash was to check in with everyone. Since everybody kind of scattered to different forums it was hard so I didn't check in that much. Now I'm glad we're all back together. =] I probably will check in on the Horse.com Forum, but not too often.

Yeah, me too. I'll check over there now and then but there is not much going on there, it's sad it's dying. Things are so slow now and HGS has been real nice to me and I'll check over there too but mostly I'll be here. I feel most comfortable with you all. The other was the second forum I ever joined, the first horse one and you all treated me good so I feel better with people I "know".
I hope everyone will come here. There are a few of course I wish would not but that's the way of life you can't like everyone so I'll just skip what they have to say if I don't like it. I don't normally get nasty except when that one person called my horse and horses like him Ferral Mutts. That really burned me. Other than that I don't get into debates or anything else. I just want everyone to be happy!

I think I will be dividing my time between HGS and here.
The only reason I was checking in with horse.com after the big crash was all my forum friends were there, and then only a few times a week.
Now, most of them are here, so what would be the point?
I seriously don't think they really care about getting the horse.com forum up and running right, so unless they get an influx of new members, it will probably die out, anyway.

It will depend if we get the farrier people over here. That was the section I was checking the most since a couple of my horses are having some feet problems I've been learning as much about it as I can. Otherwise I've been done wiht that forum for a long time now.

I'll be here from now on. I'll check over there occasionally just to see if someone posts who needs to find us here.
Mercury,
I'd bet the HoustonFarrier, WalkinFool, and Patty will join us here when they become aware.

Staying here, everyone is here - no real reason to go back over there.

OMG - that would be WONDERFUL! I really like Houston and HSG but I really miss Walkin and Patty for the detailed explanations, drawings and articles they would share. Patty helped me tremendously once or twice, as did Walkin.

I kind of gave up on the other site, I don't think they are going to fix it and I don't think any revamps are in the works to get it back under control. So I am here for good. I may go back here and there just to find a few I don't see yet over here. But once they get a log in I am not going back. I love this site so much more!

I don't know....I do still go back to horse.com and see who is on there and what's up....
But I have to say I really do prefer it here now.

I will probably still check in over there occasionally just so I don't miss anything, but if that forum is really inactive then I'll just go to this one. I seriously doubt they're going to fix it, considering how long they've left it already.

AGREED 100%!!!!!! Couldn't have said it better myself. I have it in my other links folder but that's only my folder to check things every once in a while if I'm bored. LOL
The BF is now in my links tab too. It didn't seem to me the old board was very active anymore (like it used to be), and I also agree on the subforums. I didn't even bother to check half of them most of the time, because they were everywhere and it took 6 yrs. to load one forum and I have DSL. This board is loading soooooooooo much faster!! Love love love it!
This is home!!!
Wow...it says there are 30 active users at the bottom of the Horse.com forum...is that right? It's dying quick...

I posted over there to try and get some stragglers. I read the post where the mod said we can't send e- mail or pms so the job of mod is hard to impossible. Also one of my dressage boards talked about a virus you get on a certain d board. I dont think i want to post over there anymore. I have to wait tell forever for the postie box to come up anyway. :D

Personally, I was having problems with my computer and got it up and moving pretty well. Then I checked out horse.com and it seemed to really slow down the computer again so I boycotted it for a while - thinking that maybe with as many problems as they have been having, that they probably don't check for spies or trolls or anything else either. Anyone else think that statement might be true?

I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay on this one, unless for some reason it dies off. I don't think it will though, its only been going a few days and its already much more lively than the horse.com one.
The subforums didn't bother me in the old one. What pissed me off the most was how you would write a nice big detailed thread or post and then BAM looks like it didn't work and you had to go write a whole nother one. Which was never as good as the first because you just got pissed off at it.

I'm liking this place a TON better already, so I'm probably sticking here. Might lurk back to h.com just to check it out, and eventually - just here! I'm not 1 for multiple forums anyhow. Find what I like & stick to it ;)

anyways, I am done with all the other forums. I can't log into horse.com, and I couldn't get situated in HGS, so this is my new home :) I don't think horse.com will be fixed, its already been this long, and they don't seem to care. So, yeap

I'm still on the horse.com forum but rarely go there. I went to the horseforum.com forum but I really haven't been on there much either. I doubt I'll be on here much until school is over. But I'm soaking it up will I can.

There are some still there that I miss and they haven't joined us yet, so I guess I will check in from time to time. I'm not getting to check in there very often 'cause we are so dog gone busy over here. This is great and the ones that haven't joined us yet don't know what they are missing.
I personally think that they may let the old forum die a natural death. It's obvious they weren't interested in keeping the members happy there. Just made me feel like someone wants it to just go away and not be bothered with it. :(
