Whether it's smart or not the morning after launching a forum, we have to go out this morning for a few hours:eek:. We're taking my dad to breakfast for his birthday.

If there are any troubles, hang in there! We'll probably be able to check in at least later on in the morning.:)

The kids and I have tickets to go to the Amigo Airsho today in El Paso - it is supposed to be excellent and full of stuff to do, so we plan on a full day!

It is nice and overcast here - it actually RAINED last night! It hasn't done that in a month or more. Hopefully it will stay overcast.

when we get home I'll try to ride some - I haven't ridden anyone but July in a month (I'll post a thread about that in a min!).

Good morning! WB, thanks for the new forum! You must be thrilled that it's being so well received! We so admire you for taking this on!

Not much happening here today. The Girls were going to show their horses, but it rained all night and is still raining. The horses are wet and muddy and we're not entirely sure we would make it to the highway without getting the trailer stuck. So they are working on their 4-H record books instead.

Morning all!

Beautiful day outside - sunny, not too hot nor too cool - a day like this you can only get in the autumn.

I do have some fencing to fix. Had the horses out in a side field that we were pretty much letting them destroy. They decided they did not like that and tore down fence to get into the field next to it that had a smidge of grass left. This is the field with rye grass that we keep them off of so that we have a good early spring pasture. So I need to figure out why it wasn't electrified and reset it up. Fun, fun.

Good morning Forum Family! It is sooo nice to see all the familiar (and new) names here - feels like home.

Hope you have/had a great time at breakfast WB's and that you stay dry. It is 53 degrees here and the sky is VERY dark and threatening rain.

Nothing much happening here today other than some cleaning in the house and the barn. I'd love to ride but I'm a fair weather rider and I fear the trail riding season may be over for me. I really want to find a nearby barn to trailer into and take lessons this winter - maybe I'll start doing some research on that today.

I can feel my head again and it's not in the achy, got my head slammed between a horse and metal pole way. I feel much better. I am not going to ride, just in case but Vicor will begin his "Boot Camp" today! Ground work GALORE! No more miss nice-mom :D

Good afternoon...Sorry I missed the early morning part of this thread...Woke up early and started mending some fences and tearing down a fence we had set up due to the area not being cleared. clearied some more last weekend so the horses are happy to have another 3 acres to graze....only got 2 more acres left to clear.. be glad when it's all cleared and the new barn is built next weekend..

Well it's afternoon now, but I'm just getting here. We went to my dad's for the night last night with the kids. Hubby and I are wiped out, but the kids are refusing to nap. AH! SO far I love everything about the forum!
