I thought everyone might appreciate seeing the latest e-mail from Meredith, Sombra's new owner:

Sombra is doing fine. After you left, we brushed her and let her eat hay. We went and ate lunch, came back and I rode her in the round ring for about twenty minutes. She did well, was calling out to the other horses a lot but that is to be expected. My saddle fits fine but if she gains any more weight, I'll have to get a new girth!

I met a woman there who has a new horse also and we hope to ride together in the future. She had horses years ago (like me) as is getting back into it again.

I plan to ride tomorrow, there will be fewer people out in the morning so Sombra will be less distracted by so much activity as there was today.

Try not to worry about her, we'll take care of our new girl!
