I rode Angel (bareback) both last week and this week. She was PERFECT! I couldnt believe it. I'm starting to get better at balancing bareback and its really helping both of us. We did serpentines and I actually managed to stay on when I spun her in a circle! I'm starting to think that her back isnt the problem with the saddle. Maybe she was never trained with a saddle? I dunno, but I'm pretty happy with her. If you dont know, I've had a lot of problems with her and riding with the saddle. She bucks and is very spooky around it. Alot have people have said maybe her back is the problem, and I've also wondered about the tree size, but it seems to fit her well. But my BO said it might be that she was never trained with it. In any case, I'm glad I found a way to ride her! Just thought I'd share.

So you're sure the saddle you use on her fits? Bareback is really fun, I'm glad you're gaining enough balance to do it.

That's awesome, good job Angel. :) As for the saddle, I would have a professional out to check the fit. An ill fitted saddle can cause tons of problems, it's just better to make sure it fits so you can rule out that as a contributing factor to her acting up under saddle. =P
