Well, it's a beautiful 50° out and my window is wide open. Guess what I keep hearing? An owl, I know they are nocturnal and all - this one is hooting away. It's starting to creep me out! I would just close my window, but I'm a freak of nature and I need it opened, I will get way too hot if not. Bummer, eh? Looks like the forum is where I'm going to be for a while, I'm not getting any sleep anytime soon. :o

ETA: I just peaked outside and guess what? Keidas and Cloe are laying down. ♥ It's a full moon and I can see surprisingly well at night, it helps Cloe is a gray, too, but yeah, they're sleeping away! Lucky butts.

When I was going to college in Utah, I was out walking my cocker spaniel at dusk, and I saw a huge snowy owl. I was out in a field, and it flew right along the tree line about 10 feet in front of me. It was huge but perfectly silent--to this day, it's one of the most beautiful things I've seen in my life.

Then the night before one of the Harry Potter books was due out (5 or 6), I was driving home late from somewhere with my teenaged nephew, and squatting right on the shoulder of the road was an owl--must have been Hedwig!

Wow, that's awesome! It would be quite a sight to see a snowy owl in person (I have a stuffed animal of one and the Hedwig T.Y. Beanie Baby :p)! You are right, it must have been Hedwig. How neat!

Sorry that Hedwig's cousin's keeping you up! But who are you kidding--you'd be up anyway!:D

Ha ha, very true! I would be more at peace if the owl would stop hooting, though. :p

LOL! If they learned how to hoot and howl, I'm putting their butts on t.v. and gettin' me some money. ;D
