In Love with this drawing of Muffin!!

I had an artist draw up a rendition/cartoon of Muffin for me. I wanted it to show his personality as a kind and gentle horse and I am just so impressed with the finished picture!! I just love it!

What do you guys/gals think? I am going to have it printed and put in a frame. I think it is sooo cute!! :) What a great job Quill did on the shading and capturing his "kind eye". Ohh, I just love it!

I will get Quill's contact info if anyone wants to commission him to make a picture of your pet. He does all kinds of animals (dogs, cats, horses and more) and is so nice to work with. He really listens to what you would like the picture to express.

I am just so thrilled to have this art of Muffin. Even the Hubby was impressed!!

Quill also resized it so I could use it as an avitar on chat sites. I have him working on another drawing to use as my signature. I can't wait to see what he comes up with. I will keep this art forever!!

I will post some links and info if anyone is interested in getting any art like this of there animals. I just love it!! :)

A few years back Quill did this drawing of my bird after he passed away, Spazzy. I just love this one too and I haven't been attached to a bird ever since Spazzy passed away. I have birds now but I just can't seem to get attached to them as I did Spazzy. He was special to me and we got attached to each other.

Just looking at these brings back memory's of Spazzy :cry: but I am so happy to have keep sakes like this to remind me of how much I loved that bird and how great he was :)

I gave Quill a bunch a pics of Muffin and my You Tube account so he could see his personality. I wanted a drawing that had this feel to it but not the exact pose or the fake plant Muffin thought was real at the time. :) I wanted his eyes open and a portrait type drawing of him. But, to capture the kind personality Muffin has.

Quill has a Deviant art site. I forgot to post it :) I think he is just getting back in to drawing horses so I don't think there are any on the site yet. But, you can check out other drawings and other peoples "fursonas" that he has drawn up. The site that we met on is a dog Sim game site so he has been doing mostly dogs and fursona tags for the members on that site (I think). Not so much horses but he has done them in the past. He is working on a full body drawing of Muffin right now. I can't wait to see how it turns out :)

When you order a tag you get the full size version as well. So, it's not just a little avatar picture it's the full size one too that you can print and frame.

I didn't know she did drawings? That's great! I know there are a few siggy makers around here that are really good at photo manips and making siggys but I didn't know FatSpottedAppy did color drawings!!

This is a picture of Muffin running through the front yard at just a year old. Full winter coat from just arriving from Canada and a snowy winter.

I sent over a bunch of pics to Quill and left it up to him to come up with a signature. I just said something with Muffin and his name.

Quill did this drawing using the picture above as a reference. I think he did a great job and it turned out really cute. He really expressed the feeling Muffin was having that day running around the front grass. lol I love how I can see he was a baby in this with his belly and short back, neck. I remember when Muffin was a pudgy thing with a big body and an itty bitty head and neck. lol

Is that Apollo in your avatar? I just saw a title to your thread about rescuing him? I'm on my way back to it to read the tread. If that's him what a cute blaze he has!!! Iris - if you don't mind, could you PM me with info on how much you paid for the full size head shot? I think that would be awesome for my Dad's horse as a gift this season, but I couldn't figure out how much things cost on his website.

I'm also not sure what a "tag" is? Apparently he doesn't want to do them anymore though!

A "tag" is just another name for an Avatar. It's a small pic you use under your name on chat boards and forums. A Siggy or Signature is a picture or text that automatically gets put at the bottom of every post you make on a site or forum that offers a "signature" option to there members. Like mine at the bottom of my post.

I haven't checked Quills site today but he might be full on commissions at this moment. He is highly sought after on anther site as a tag/avatar artist so his commission slots fill up fast. He only takes on a few at a time so he can focus on them and not get too over loaded.

Keep checking the site and if a slot opens then you can email him about taking a commission slot.

I just checked his site and I guess something happened with a tag auction on the other game site (FP's). I don't know if people bid more then they had, got rude, or what happened but it looks like he is not taking any more commissions from that specific site (he needs a brake from the drama I am guessing). He is a very well known artist on that site and he will put up an auction every once in a while for game money instead of real money to buy a art commission from him. So people on that site that don't have access or can't afford to pay in real money (USD's) can get an avatar from him with game money (lots of game money!!). Some one didn't pay or didn't like how high the game money prices were being bid or something childish that made Quill not want to offer that site any more commissions for game money at this moment.

This has nothing to do with his commission's or work that you would like him to do. When his slots are open you can contact him for art. He would be more then happy to do art for you. He loves making people happy though art and getting what they wanted drawn up. He is not into drama so for him to want to take a brake from doing art for the members of that game site, I'm sure something rude must have happened to him.

Just check back on his site and see when a slot opens or you can always email him and let him know you are from the Bay Wind Forum and would like him to email you when he has an open slot for a head shot drawing. They are $15 and you get the full size to print and frame yourself and the avatar size to use on the forum :)
