Well, do you? If so, what stretches to you do?

I don't, but I know I should expecially for my back. Maybe this can be a reminder for all to do that.

I don't stretch myself, but I did stretch my horse:)

I do, and I used to stretch my old TB's legs as well. I just grab my ankle and lift my legs up...then I stretch out my arms. I also have a bad habit of throwing my shoulders forward when I ride so I lift them up to my ears and then roll them back and down. Make sense lol?

I like to stretch my hamstrings before a ride. My calves and Achilles tendon start out tight, particularly if I haven't ridden in awhile. Stair stretches are great, or stand facing the horse trailer (or a wall) and lean forward into it like you're bein' busted by the cops :innocent:, then skooch your feet increasingly back, keeping your heels on the ground. Also can do a squat kind of stretch first one leg then they other.

No but sometimes I will do stretches right after I first get on if I'm on a relatively bombproof lesson horse. They're fun!

I severed my right Achilles tendon a few years ago and it gets really tight so I stretch it out before I get on or else it gets really achey. But that's it really...

Cat and camel stretch, and the child's pose are ones I try to do before every ride, otherwise my back and hips are stiff.

I really should. The doc say's my hip problems are from my hamstrings being too tight and riding pulls on my hips.
Don't streach the horse either, that's what a nice slow/controlled warm up is for!
All the surgeons/movement experts I work for say that the pulling of the legs that people do really does absolutely nothing for you horse! A nice structured warm up does 10 times more!
