OK, when I posted this on the horse.com forum I didnt get too many opinions, so I'm going to post it here-- Hope you guys don't mind!

What breed/s do you think this mare is? We have ideas but I'd like to know what you guys think.

She's approximately 5-6 years old, 14.2hh, and she's the sweetest, most loveable thing. She's an amazing trail horse when riding with others on the trail, I've had beginners on her. But she acts a little rowdy when I'm riding her in the pasture and she can be nervous when riding alone. She used to have a super long mane but the horses at Lanna's house either chewed it off or she ripped it off on something over there. :( She also has tiny hooves.

Pictures are attached.. more pics in the next post..

quarter horse/morgan?

She looks just like the gelding I had as a kid and that's what he was.

I am still in the belief she has standardbred inher! it's her face that makes me think that. She could be a stb/arab since that mix has been becoming inceasingly popular, with the endurance crowd mostly, but you never now. Either way she is simply gorgeous!!

Wellllll, I could see Standardbred in her, but she reminds me a lot of a Hinny.

That would be a cross between a QH and a Mule. NOT a bad thing! I have been on trail rides with Hinnys. They were all sweet-dispositioned and would go anywhere.

I have seen some Hinnys that take on more of the mule look and others take on more of the QH look ---- like what I think I am seeing here.

And I could be waaaaay off base -- it wouldn't be the first time:p

Hinny is a cross between a horse and a donkey, not a mule. A mule can't breed. In fact a hinny is about the same thing as a mule, but a mule the sire is a donkey and the dam is a horse and in a hinny its the exact opposite. While hinnys are a bit more "horse like" than mules with a bit smaller ears and such, I really don't see any thing hinny like with this horse.

If I had to guess I would say standardbredXQH or standardbredXmorgan.

Not sure, but I am leaning towards what cheval said, some sort of quarter horse cross. Uber cute tho...

She looks either Quarter Horse, or Standardbred....perhaps a cross?

STB/Morgan or STB/TB...maybe STB/QH? Whichever way you go I def think she has STB in her!

Thanks everyone for your opinions-- I really think she's a QH/STB with maybe some Arab. My boyfriend is deadset on there being no STB in her and possibly being a full QH.. I don't think so, but that's my opinion.

she's so cute! I would definitely say part QH, other than that...?

Her face looking at it straight on and her legs remind me of Rompy. I'm sure she's not a CS horse but looking fast she reminds me of him face wise and legs but she's too wide, he's really a narrow horse.

WAY back when I was first shopping for my first horse I rode a national show horse arab/saddlebred. She looked a bit like this in the feet and chest areas. Is this horse kinda narrow? I get the impression she is. I don't think she has too much arab in her, but she's got something dainty in her. ;)

Hey, could she be simply a mustang?

Looks like an Appendix QH to me.

I am not experienced enough to even be saying...But I actually thought of STB/QH when I saw the pics.

I'm another STB/QH thinker. She's cute.

I'm not great at guessing horse breeds, waaayyy better with dogs....but my guess would be,

QH/Mustang/Arab :)

Definitely Standardbred... but I don't know what she could be crossed with. :)

I think I have to go with Standarbred/Quarter Horse, but she is adorable none the less

Thanks again everyone, I really wish I could find out *exactly* what she is. She's such a sweety and a great horse to put my friends on on the trail. :) I haven't seen her gait, though. She has an extremely fast trot-- it can keep up with Tyke's lope.

I can relate, I don't know exactly what Keidas is...kinda a bummer.
