i am not sure if it is just my dog or if other dogs are like this? but i have to almost force my dog to eat it. i give it to his every once in a while, mainly when i give him powder wormer but there is so little wormer to wet food that it would not make a difference. he barely eat it when there is nothing in it. but then again i have a really odd dog.

My dog is super picky. There are only 2 types of dog food she will eat, period. She won't eat junk food either. She hates popcorn and stuff like that. She loves veggies and fruit and cheese. Cauliflower, brocolli, carrots, apples, bananas, beans, asparagus, squash, etc. she will wolf down. Of course she loves any type of meat as well.

Just the thought of my dogs turning ANYTHING down makes me giggle! Heck - they'll eat lettuce if they see it came from my dinner plate.:)

Is the wormer little enough to put in peanut butter? I could hide anything in peanut butter - my dogs think it's better than steak.

My dogs will eat anything I swear - they would kill for the chance at some wet food ;) I do have an oddball cat (my persian) who will not touch wet food - strange critter he is :)

How old is your dog? Is he on heartworm preventative? Why are you giving him a powder dewormer?

My dog only eats canned food, he will not touch the dry stuff. He's been that way since he was a puppy. He wasn't eating so then we tried canned puppy food and he ate that and has been eating canned since. He's 11 yrs old now.

We got a kitten on Sunday and the girl told me what she eats but she sure isn't eating much of it. I'm going to start counting the dry food to make sure she's eating some, it doesn't look like much is gone out of the dish. She doesn't seem to like the canned food at all, the first day she ate what I gave her but since then she wants no part of it. I don't know why she'd eat it at her other house and not here????

Different dog, different foods. My dog is allergic to a lot of things and we have to purchase this specific brand of dog food that just happens to be oh-so costly. Spoiled dog. =P He may not like the brand or he may not like wet food. Trial and error. :D

Heh... I'm with Sedona... My dogs won't turn down anything.

Heck... maybe try hiding the wormer in the litter box or something else that you would find disgusting if you really want them to eat it!

he is a 3(wow i cant believe he is 3 now) year old 1/2 aussie Shepard, 1/4 lab, 1/4 mutt of all mutts. at the moment he is not on any heartworm prevention and the powder wormer is safe-guard for dogs and it comes in powder. we sell it at work so thats what he is getting.

he has had this kind of wet food 3 times before and ate it fine, the last time it had the wormer in it and he wolfed it down. it is canida wet food, so its good food. i even mixed some of his dry in it and that is really tasty food. taste of the wild made with bison and deer, man my dog eats better than me. lol

My dog is the opposite of yours, she loves her wet food but only eats dry food if she doesn't have any alternatives.

I feed my dog dry food only--Science Diet. And she eats it because she really has no choice--if she doesn't eat it, she doesn't eat. I've seen friends play the "my dog's a picky eater" game, changing food all the time. I even did it with my very first dog. Got tired of it, though, and refused to play...she got over her picky ways very fast! Luckily, my current dog, Kaylee, is not picky...but it wouldn't matter if she was.:)
