Sorry for so many threads lately, it makes me happy. :p

So this was Cloe's tail this winter...

And today it was washed! (only her tail, though)

You can't tell in the last picture because the wind was blowing, but her tail touches the ground now and when it is wet, it trails a bit haha

ETA: Ignore the dirty barn, that was before I sweeped it after grooming, lol

Wow look at that shine!! I'm so glad none of my ponies have white tails. I bet it's insane to try to keep clean :D

Way to go, girls! I was sooo tempted to wash Jack's two-tone tail today. Just didn't have it in me after the ride, though.

Wow her tail looks so white! What did you use on it? Cloud's tail is so dirty and it is white. I need to wash it as soon as it warms up a bit..

I wonder how long that will last? ;)

I washed Bunny's tail a couple weeks ago and the next day it was already dirty. Silly poney.

Hopefully for a bit, right now it is in a tube sock and she already rolled, but the entire tail (even her tailbone that isn't in a tube sock) stayed clean! :D

I will have to get some of that and wash Cloud's tail. You are in PA?? Was it that warm outside to wash her tail? How did you dry it?

Yep, I'm in Pennsylvania and it was a high of 76° today, however it could've been 50° and I would've still done it, hehe. :D I just let her tail air dry and while I was waiting I just finished grooming the rest of her (I was too lazy to bathe her entire body). :)

Do you use human shampoo & conditioner on her mane/tail?
Just wondering,Cause i do that with with my spoiled pony =]

lacyloo--Nah, I don't use anything too special. I use Absorbine's Sante Fe Shampoo and Cowboy Magic Shine In Yellow Out for bathing, when I groom her (well, after I brush her and what not) I use Absorbine's Santa Fe Coat Conditioner and to detangle her tail & mane (yes, I brush them almost every day xD), Absorbine's Sante Fe Instant Detangler. :)

Awe! I'm sorry. :( We had tons of rain and thunderstorms this morning (I was the happiest kid ever to wake up today, I ♥ thunderstorms), but it was just cloudy the rest of the day. No worries, Spring will come! :D

Great job! Her tail is purdy! You guys had 76 degress yesterday? I'm jealous! We didn't get that up here in NY!! lol I love Thunderstorms too. We got a little thunder yesterday but that was it. Can't wait for Summer weather!

How tall is Cloe Caitlin, I couldn't remember? I love ponies, or small horses that are more pony-size!!

03-08-2009, 11:39 AM
Lol, yes and it was AMAZING. I hope it warms up for you in NY soon, although I'm sure we'll have another cold spell. We are getting tons of new, green grass, too! :D Cloe is 13.3hh. :) I adore ponies, they're my favorite by far. I might be on the tall side for them (5'6), but my weight is fine so yay, I get to ride ponies still! hah xD

TBgirl

Thanks, I hope so too! Your not too tall for them! I am 5'4 but I have the longer, slender legs like you (so I tend to question if I look too tall as well). I fluctuate between 110-115lbs. Right now I am 110. I'm glad I get to ride smaller horses/ponies too lol.

Wow! Looks nice!

I gave Stogie, an older gray horse at the barn, a bath today. He was really dirty, I SCRUBBED him, dried him most of the way and had to turn him out because my grandma came to pick me up and he ROLLED! :( I think I almost cried. Haha. Oh well. I'm sure he enjoyed the bath anyway. :)

TBgirl--Aren't they just so much funner (I know, I know, funner isn't a word)? :p

Kitty--Agreed! :D

Ashley--Hehe, she says thanks. ;)

EW--Lol! The barn aisle was so filthy when I groomed her because it was covered in her fluff and then I was stripping her stall so I had sawdust/hay kinda spread out...ewwww. It's clean now, though!

Torie--Haha, well, you were only .1hh off :p & thank ya!

Blue--Thanks, I'm sorry to hear about Stogie! Lucky me, Cloe never ever rolls after a bath.

Wow, her tail looks great!! I'm going to have to try that Cowboy magic Yellow out shampoo!! I have a bottle of the blue stuff...Umm.. what is that stuff called...silver something...or I don't remember. Anyways, I use that on Muffins tail but it still takes a good soaking or scrubbing to get the yellow out. I think I will try the cowboy magic! I love there detaingler and green spot out spray. :)

Her tail is so long!! I didn't know it was that long and it looks great! :) Ohh, what a pretty girl Cloe is even if only her tail is clean;).
