*Yawns* Morning All!
I had toast... there's some left if anyone wants it :D
I'm so sleepy, stayed up till midnight talking to the bf last night. Lol.
Had a brilliant day yesterday, now I just gotta catch up on all my homework.

Spring Pfft. Well, it was cold but sunny this morning - now it's cloudy and windy, half an hour can change the weather big time. Ahh well. Have a great day everyone!

Fiddlesticks, I thought maybe I could start the thread this morning. Got up at the designated time and it is still dark out. Where is the sun, I thought we were saving daylight or something. Gotta wait until 7 am now to do chores! That sucks, I thought I'd get done EARLIER ....sure, if I want to work in the dark.

GRRR...

Bah! It's raining and dreary here today and I've got a six hour drive back to school :( I'm not a happy camper.

1) SIX HOURS in the car...
2) Yucky weather.
3) Who the heck wants to go back to school after spring break?
4) I'm going to lose TWO hours heading back to Ohio. My parents house is in a different time zone AND it's daylight savings! So it'll be two hours later than it's supposed to be! :(

Looking on the bright side...I had a great spring break and I've only got two more months of school left. Oh! And my twentieth birthday is in a couple weeks! It's April fool's day (April 1st), so don't forget the presents! ;) LOL, jk! And on March 10th I find out if my friends and I got the house that we applied for for next year!

So, there are lots of things to look forward to :) Even on an icky, rainy day.

It's going to be a beautiful 80 degrees here today. . .Sterling and I are going to continue to pull logs for my husband. We are clearing our land and I was moving the trees he's cut to the burn pile but got to the trunks and couldn't move them very well. . .so Sterling got recruited. . . Horses are AMAZING!! Lol. So at 21 years old Sterling has turned into a logging draft horse. . . lol. Now if only we had a pulling harness instead of a just a western saddle. . .

Everyone have a great day!

Howdy! It's not even 40 here yet, cloudy with rain looming. So long good weather. :( We'll see you in April!

I woke up and realized it was daylight savings time, whew! Good thing too because I have to get to the barn and see Cheyenne get a new pasture buddy. I'm hoping it goes ok, but the pony isn't the nicest creature in the world. She definitely should let us know if she doesn't like Cheyenne; she was the only horse to actually get Fred on edge when they were pastured next to eachother.

I have also used Whip to haul logs and someone said you need a good solid tree on the saddle and its better for the horse to have a rider while pulling. I don't know if that is true.

Our Tennessee Walker surprised us with his pulling talent! We have used him on a number of occasions for log pulling, and have a plastic deer sled that we have hauled 4 bales of hay in at a time.

What is with the MOOD ring WBay??

Morning all. We're taking the kids to their riding lessons shortly and then try to get other chores done around the house. It's sunny and cool but not too bad.

Take care.

This is wierd. My routine is all messed up. Normally I would be gettin ready to go out and feed my horses about now, but theres only one horse in our yard to feed now and its done.

Sierra and I had a great trail ride through the hills- 3 hours total. I've never ridden like that before and wow did I learn what Sarge is actually capable of. What a great horse! We rode through some steep washes and he took his time- even shielded me when one of the other horses (and we were with some very naughty horses today) started flipping out when I was dismounted.

Sierra had to cowgirl up when her horse decided to scratch her ~parts~ on a creosote bush and ended up rolling! Sierra rolled off and handled it really well altogether. Unfortunately, their was cholla in the way, so she cried a little when the cholla was pulled out. But she sucked it up, got back in the saddle, and rode for another hour and a half. I'm so proud of my little cowgirl :)

So, one broken headstall, minor cholla injuries, and some Arizona pinstriping (on me) later, I sit in my recliner with a throbbing tush and smile about our beautiful day.

Sorry, no photos- I was lucky to hang on to my iPhone today :cowboy:
