Here's a random thread. :)

Is there any breed of horse that you have always wanted to own?


I have always wanted a mule, VERY badly. Unfortunately they are just so expensive around here and I wouldn't want to get one out of any of my current mares(all three are grade.)

I would love a grey Hanoverian. :)

Or an Andalusian.

Or a Dutch Warmblood.

Or a Shagya Arab.

Or a Mini Donk.... :huh::cool:

I've always wanted a Friesian. In my dream-world, someday I'd love to have a BLM mustang straight from the wild; but in reality, I think I'd rather just take in abused horses, rehab them and send them on to wonderful homes. ;)

I'd also adore an Akhal-Teke, there's just something about them that has always drawn my eye. Someday an Appy would be nice... Percherons, Clydes, and Belgians have always been really high on my list as well. :)

They're like potato chips or candy - you can't pick just one! :D

I'm also on the mule boat and I'm seriously considering having my vet look my SSH mare over when he comes out to do teeth to see if she would be sound to carry a foal...if so, there is a fairly local gaited jack at stud.....Mmmm...spotted gaited pony mule

Would also love an old style morgan
or...a missouri fox trotter, i've wanted one of those for years now...lol


I also want a Kerry Bog Pony to hug and brush and pet and feed cookies too...lol

I've got the breed I love - haflingers. A close 2nd are Black forest horses. They look like a larger haflinger, really. I wouldn't mind having a haflinger mule...

I just want a horse...period, lol.

But, in the future, I hope to have quite a few different types and breeds. I'd like a gaited horse, a draft, a mule, and definitely a quarter horse or two. ;) But that's a looong way off. I've got to get just one horse, first!

I'd like a clone of my current horse. . . but in the future any 1/2 Arabian Appaloosa will do I guess. . . . And I love how TB's look, but they aren't terribly useful for what I do. . .

Any gray pony. I've always been a sucker for grays and when I got Cloe, I realized I'm a sucker for ponies, too! ♥ My other favorite would have to be Holsteiners (gray of course! :p).

I'm a draft-lover, but there's no breed I don't love. Impossible to pick just one, but I would like to own a full draft one day - a Clyde or a Belgian.

I love my girls...but would love to have a haflinger. I love the draft look in a smaller size.

A straight egyptian arabian stallion, any colour is great but black is smexy!
and a foundation bred QH mare, palomino would be great or buckskin or grulla!!

I would have to say my dream horse would be a black Arabian. I have a black Morab (only for a month or two). He fades quite a bit. Close enough! :D

My favorites are,

Mustang by far my most fav And I'm still looking auctions are coming up and I'm ready...

Holsteiner, German Warm Blood, Paint, Thoroughbred, Appaloosa... Ahh so many breeds so little money..LOL

Freisians are probably my fav. Look wise I love TB's & Paints. Other breeds are Haflingers and Morgans.

Hmm, I quite fancy a connemara pony. Those things look wicked.
Icelandics, too :D
Everybody reckons Haflingers are awesome, I could go for one of those pretty little things.
But top of my list is a FSH - Friesian Sport Horse - Gerry is a Frieisan x Dutch Warmblood, so pretty close, and he's awesome. I love the looks, the movement, the temperament. :)

I would also love a mule. Those long ears just pull me right in. Some other breeds that I love are mustangs, drafts, Fjord, Icelandic, and Cleveland Bay.

So many horses....:)

Of course, Dixie is perfect is my eyes despite her breed.

I have your dream horse! lol. Sunny (http://www.allbreedpedigree.com/taris+doll) (aka Taris Doll) is pretty much foundation bred, palomino. . and very pretty. lol. If I do say so myself. But she and I don't mesh with our personalities. Conflicting. . . but she is fun to photograph!!

I also wouldn't mind having another one of her...I wish I had kept her, but at the time, couldn't keep 3 horses.

OOOO well another Hungarian of course ;) but what I would really really like is a baby from the one I own now :) alas not this year - but maybe one day.

Oh! I forgot about them! After I saw pictures of Jet Lag, I looked up the breed (this was a while ago) and fell in love...I'd have to say that your boy was the prettiest I saw, though.

:) Yup, I'd take her! She is a beauty! I'll be expecting a very big parcel to show up in my pasture anytime now!! lol ;)
