So, the Dem congressman, who took over for the disgraced Rep congressman who was sending lewd text messages to teenagers....is now caught having not one....but TWO affairs, DURING the time he was ragging on the Rep congressman for his behavior.....He was to be the "standard" for ethical behavior...HA !

You couldn't write a book this good :p

You really have to wonder where they get the hubris to think they'd get away with it.

We would like to apologize for the way in which politicians are represented on this forum. It was never our intention to imply that politicians are weak-kneed, political time-servers who are concerned more with their personal vendettas and private power struggles than the problems of government; nor to suggest at any point that they sacrifice their credibility by denying free debate on vital matters in the mistaken impression that party unity comes before the well-being of the people they supposedly represent; nor to imply at any stage that they are squabbling little toadies without an ounce of concern for the vital social problems of today. Nor indeed do we intend that readers should consider them as crabby ulcerous little self-seeking vermin with furry legs and an excessive addiction to alcohol and certain explicit sexual practices which some people might find offensive.

We are sorry if this impression has come across.

When a politician says he/she didn't do it....you can bet the farm.....they DID !

Bill Clinton said he didn't do it...he did
John Edwards said he didn't do it.......he did
Gary Hart said he didn't do it.....he did
Jim McGreevy said he didn't do it.....he did (with another man:eek:)
Elliot spitzer said he didn't do it....he did
Larry Craig said he didn't do it...but we're not sure what he was doing?
Mark Foley...to his credit...DID admit to what he did, and the Reps still tossed him out.

Is it me...or is there a certain *pattern* here????

LOL

It must be that sex addiction we learned about when Clinton was in office. I just didn't know it was catching :(

Hey, no one is perfect and Polititians certainly are not....but then look at other professions?????even priests, sport figures...the list goes on and on. Power does that I am afraid. However, must we always forgive and forget those who give a bad name to their profession? They sadly over shadow those that try to do their best...albeit they do seem to be few and far between these days!
So smile and grin and bare it...I'm off the watch the debate and hope that I can get some answers, but I am not going to hold my breath.
Bye:p

But W/boy you are mistaken, it's not this forum that represents them in that light....They make themselves look that way. Heck they are that way with very few exceptions. It's great entertainment though. If it weren't for politicians and their antics we would have very boring tv viewing. But the big "O" will get it all straightened out.
