yesterday it was nice for the first half of the day so i let sterling lose in our yard. i closed the gates on either side of our yard so she could not get out and thought that was fine. well she decided it was not and went head first down the hill. lucky for me she ran to the dirt road and followed it back up to the house and waited for me to go to the gate to let her in. she then decided that i was moving to slow so she went up the hill the gate was connected to and then slid down the other side.(inside our yard). so after that i went around and ran hot tape around to block off the cliff so she could not slid down again. so today i try again, turned her out and she was fine. never tested the fence so all was good. after she got all the running out of her system and i made sure there was no getting out i let dusty out with her. the two of them spent about 2 hours walking around and grazing on all the grass that has started coming up. but here are some pictures of them out and about.

this is one of the hills that sterling slid down, you can see her slid marks.

I love the pictures of Sterling running, it's like she's say, "I'm free! I'm free! Try to catch me, I dare ya!". That's great that she wasn't hurt or anything from her big slid, it's cool that you can see the slide marks :cowboy: Have you ever trail ridden her on a mountain?

she is like a goat, lol. she is my husbands horse when we go riding and she will go up anything even if you dont, lol. hubby rides bareback so a few times we have had to stop because he was sliding off her back or side.

That looks killer >.< I think I woulda squealed or something if I'd seen her go down that.

Now the question is, would she trot like that whilst carrying somebody :P

i about had a heart attack when i saw her go over but she was okay thankfully!

she is the smoothest non-gaited horse i have ever been on! she just floats, i cant wait till i can get her into an arena and truly work her. right now i am stuck on hard rocky trails so we dont do to much.
