Not much is happening with my scroll. I got 2 Yulebuck eggs from a friend on Christmas night (yay!) and managed to snag this year's holiday dragon as well. Bully! Still haven't gotten a magma or electricity or ice. Phoot!

Do you have any male pinks? I've been breeding a ton of male pinks (using my other males to influence the gender) so I can selectively breed for males. .. for some reason my dragons almost always gender female if left uninfluenced!

Got my first alt ever off the ap, yippee! Of course, that's mostly because I disliked blacks for so long so hardly ever grabbed them...

The ungendered gold is a special one to me! I got my first gold November more than a year ago, it didn't give me a gold egg until April! And now that gold has finally given me a gold 9 months later! In addition, the mother is a red with my oldest and favorite dragon's in its lineage. It's my first third gen egg from that first gold! Couldn't believe it when the egg popped up!

Gave your egg a click for you HR,, yes you can click on the male pink dragon, go into actions and you will see where is has the choices. It has always worked for me when I have influence the gender of an egg.

The new pink ones are fake! They don't exist, they're a joke! The other four are real though. Thread says speckled comes from breeding skywing/water, but someone on magistream got one off that came from breeding skywing/deep seas--someone needs to try, I had no luck!

Folks are getting speckled from Deep Sea/Skywing pairs and Water/Sky Wing pairs. Don't know if Water Horse would work with Sky Wings or not--no reports!

Bred a deep sea and a skywing. Got the speckley egg. Abandoned a Storm egg that was almost ready to hatch since I could always get more, and then nabbed up the other three at the hourly drop.

The Electric is actually cool, but like the Thunder, the navy coloring makes it all so hard to really see. There's no limestone adult yet--they change day to night, though--baby flips at night, sits in day. But it doesn't show up in incubators! That's annoying...

I've really gotten used to magistream artwork (see unicorns in siggy) and find dragcave artwork kind of a drag except for the old ones--silvers, golds, whites, magis, etc.

I agree the Bluna's the best of the news ones. I think I like the canopy hatchie better than I like the adult, and the electric would probably look better on a little bit darker background so it would be clearer.

I agree Arrow, I just love the look of the Blunas. Both male and female. The canopy is too small to see their features.. Not so crazy about the males postion,, looks too stiff or like it has just been shot! The adult Electric dragon looks like he stuck his paw into an electric socket. But I guess that is fitting for him..
The magistream artwork is much bigger which makes it easier to see detail. The arist in masistream are very good. Not saying the artist of DC are not,, just wish the dragons were a bit bigger to enjoy the work of the artist.... That's my :2cents:

I froze my little nocturne hatchling, I'm going to put right at the top of my keep--I love how he sits, all gray and bland during the day, then flips over all blue at night! Very cute! Just named him wee Flip!

Well, I have so few opposite gender choices for my skywings, didn't ever think I'd breed a speckled egg, but managed one tonight, and a gold, too! Ah, how can pixels make me so happy?:) Also picked up a couple blacks on the ap, hoping for alts. I've about given up on golds and anything but blacks, so I've been hunting for any and all short lineage blacks with no inbreeding--not easy to find these days! Don't those blacks in the incubator look cute? Just rarin to go--snorting, eyeing all the golds! Whoops, this is a family thread...lol!

ok so we all remember the grace that EW gave me was a silver dragon .. well i thought i had my timming just right and i tried to breed it and OMG it gave me a EGG silver one too ... but i guess i didnt time it right and it auto abadoned it ... im sitting wanting to CRY !!!!!!!! so :banghead: :cry: so this is how i feel right now!

Looks like you have 5 hatchlings--if you ever have an egg about to hatch when you want to breed, fog it--it can't hatch when it's fogged, even if it's ready to hatch. Sorry about the mishap! I can't breed silvers at all--they won't give me any silver eggs, so I feel your pain!

Instead of working tonight, I wasted time counting how many direct silver descendants my favorite Dragon Sorand has. . . it's at 180 right now!! I was impressed. That's 180 silver dragons directly descended. (no skipping a gen and then counting a silver from a common descendant. This got me to thinking. . .do you guys have a favorite dragon?

Wow--that's a huge number! Half are on your scroll, aren't they? I don't think I can pick one favorite. Wild Silver is a favorite because she's my first rare from the cave. Golden Hat Trick is my favorite gold, I think, because she's the last that I got off the ap--the third in an hour, one day, and my last foundation gold over all, and along with Black Nabeth, she's the founder of an awesome family. My favorite stripe is a low gen Dorkface with a nice clean lineage who loves to add Dorkfaces to the world. My favorite magi pair were among my first 10 dragons (I now have about 500)--Asgenar and Zair. My favorite silver family probably comes from my first silver ever--Berd's get, Driftin gave me Berd. I've got a bunch of them with one word names, Silverly and Silvered and others--I love those females, love their names, love their big families. Of my frozen hatchlings, I love the 8 seasonals that I froze and gave seasonal names--they look awesome all in a row. I could go on forever, so think I'll stop, lol!

Others are from where they came from( Barrew, a Magi & Arrepall Lok, a silver Windy Quiha Bay a dragon horse from Arrow. Emmirand a silver from EW) still others by the off spring they give me( some white stripes, Arrepall Lok a silver, Arrian Glow a gold). And few I got from the AP..

The green one and the gray one are both new. The white and yellow one is a striped and the blue and orange one is either a sunset or a sunrise. Congrats! :D

Congrats CG,, gave them clicks for you. The first 3 are the new eggs.. the last 2 are not.. They are all at 3 days so will need to go into ER in a few hours to hatch.. Once your white stripe grows up you can breed it with a blue, red, or green dragon to try for a blue, green or red stripe egg.. That is the only way to get the other colored striped eggs,, threw breeding. Or the AP.

So if I breed the striped one with another color, I might get a different colored stripe??? Ooooo that's cool. I might have to try that at some point. I have tried breeding my dragons and I usually end up with one that is the same as the mother or the father. However, I had hoped I could get something that was further in the lineage, but I guess that doesn't work. :(

Nope it's always the same as the mother or father. With the exception of the Blunas and the different colored stripes :) And sometimes a sunrise parent results in a sunset egg, I think.

Chy's pygmy might have to go into the ER today, but she's already gendered so she might just grow up soon. I've had that happen before.

I had a dream a couple nights back that I'd scroll-locked by accident right before V-day and I had to run on today and check to make sure it hadn't come true :D Though I'm probably not going to be able to get a V-day egg this year. My computer time is officially restricted to two or three hours a night until the laptop comes back. :(

The '09 Valentines are starting be bred thick and fast--I think people waited. You can have two of these and two '10s--but just two of each. Four popped up on the ap at once, I was so surprised that I missed every one! I had picked up a 3 hour split egg to pop in the er and freeze--when the next Valentine came up--I got an "you have 4 hatchlings" message! I had caught the dang Valentine egg, but the er egg had hatched and scroll-locked me! But less than 5 minutes later, I got another Valentine egg. So they're out there--they've been scarce all week, but I saw a bunch in the last half hour. Here's my new '09 egg! Give it a click! It'll all load faster that way. Just refresh and click again and again without waiting for messages or to see if you got an egg.

All the black eggs are probably from folks breeding golds and silvers--I bred a bunch after getting my v-day eggs last night.

If nothing else, CG--just turn off Java. You won't screw anything up, just turn it back on when you're done.

Even if you don't turn anything off--follow the advice of just refreshing and clicking without waiting for messages, that's the real key.

Well, here it is--9 hatchlings at the same time! 3 of the eggs have hatched within the last 6 hours, and 4 hatchlings are under 3 days, 12 hours, so you can see how close a thing it is--pure luck! Cool, though, eh? That little split has one looking at black and one at gold, thinking "how'd I get into this?" I think!:p

There are going to be new eggs in the next couple weeks, and big changes--eggs will hatch and hatchlings grow up faster, and new M/F sprites for some dragons--there's a thread in the news section of the forum--"State of the Cave" but I can't post a link because the forums aren't loading for me this morning. Incubator time! Haven't put one up in awhile. Kinda like this one--account setting w/ all but frozen hatchlings--it shows all my golds with their mates, my unmated golds, and a of my Christmas dragons is a tag-along in the lower right-hand corner! Read on the dragcave forums that golds have been breeding golds with stripes lately, so I tried it, and voila--a gold!

Make an incubator today if you can--valleyrider's will have a new spring egg at the start!

Thank goodness Dragonnery is still working. I was able to ER my two stripe eggs a second ago, and they're already cracking. I just depend on the ERs so much because I like to sort of ignore my scroll for a couple of days.

I haven't had a chance to reply to this thread. Been busy with life.. I do love the changes to the dragons too. The colors of the eggs are shiny:) There has been talk in the DC forum about how close the silver and the white egg is. It is a shame that some of the egg site are not here anymore:( Solti was my favorite the ER worked so fast. A while back I came across this post which gives you a few sites to post your eggs and hatchlings. Some of course do not work, some do not have have ER but at least you have a few places to post them to get there views they need. Hope this helps everyone.

I got lots o' Easter eggs. It's kinda cool hunting for them. They pop up every now and then on pages every 10 minutes apart or so.

I think you're supposed to grab the eggs whenever you see them and then they go in your basket. But what are they for...

I've got 17 now. I read on the forums there's probably like 38 or something out there.

I'm wondering if it's related to an Easter dragon or something -- like you have to hunt for eggs to get a dragon that way there's a bit of fun rather than repeated refreshing at the main cave page. I dunno. We'll find out.

I was up till 2 AM PST hunting the eggies for the Easter basket.
